Most of the commercial cocoa on the supermarket shelves are mostly sugar with some chocolate flavoring added.

Here's an earlier article from a couple months ago on Flavanols posted by ConservativeMind...
Cocoa flavanols contribute to faster oxygen uptake kinetics, improved blood flow
...and the original Medical Express link.

I bought a three month supply of CocoaVia after reading that August article but haven't noticed any changes.

Food and beverage items like grapes and red wine, tomatoes, onions, berries and peaches also are considered good sources of flavanols.

Now that's a first -- that's a list of many of my favorite foods. Usually the stuff that is supposed to be good for you is YUCK!

Peach season just ended here in the Inland Northwest. We have the best peaches in the world in August!

Absolutely, YES! If I had to get up every morning unable to look forward to my hefty daily shot of chocolate, I’d die!

cocoa is the basis of chocolate. trying to constrain its consumption (by your wife) will severely limit your likelihood of getting any older.

Mentioning this to any woman will do the same.

Let’s keep this a guy’s secret.
