Race courses are always tinkering with the layout. I don’t know how they can keep track lap records.
Years ago, track layouts were constant for long periods of time. Maybe city track layouts don’t change as much as dedicated courses.
I watched a great video on YouTube last night explaining why F1 cars have gotten so long in the past ten years. The explanations were 1) F1 banning refueling during the race necessitating larger fuel tanks to make it through the race and 2) all the physical room required for batteries and motors in the hybrid power plants.
i saw that, good video...
i posted a video on the F1-GP thread on lap times in general
Interesting. Those are the same two things that they should ban to make the sport more demanding and interesting. You know, like Indycar.
Istanbul is a wonderful city, in my top 5 favorites. Don’t plan on having a drink except in a nice western hotel for the most part. Met many muslims and they were kind and helpful, never had an issue but would say to stay away from rug dealers.
they’re ALL Oushaks...
I’ve got WATER in my boots...
Why Longer Formula 1 Cars are FASTER, But WORSE
Seems like the whole country over there is on rugs.
Here's the video I mentioned about the size of F1 cars. Thought everybody might enjoy watching it...Why Longer Formula 1 Cars are FASTER, But WORSE
I see Bubba faux racism hoax Wallace won talladega. Last night, but only because rain Stopped the race a little past 1/2 mark. The station it was televised on went on and on and on about it. How can a person be proud over winning because of rain? They were b.stting on about how he’s improved so much since Jordan took over, blah blah blah. And practically every break away or,Nascar commercial now has wallace prominently featured in it. The aftershow was going on and on about how everyone in Nascar ‘rallied to his side (after he falsely accused Nascar of racism), and how emotional it was, it was sickening really.
Nascar is now full on blm... unwatchable. I only watched because it was talladega, but couldn’t stomach the unbearable blm sympathizing blather after he won by default
yup, at least Wendell actually won...
yup, i posted it here a couple days ago, check out the F1-GP thread now and again as i don’t always ping the list to new stuff

Did You pee in them ?
Wow, your master F1 post goes back to 2009! I’m impressed. That’s one of the great things about FR — despite all the troubles and server crashes, all that history is still available at our fingertips!
Kudos and a great big “well done!,” Jim.
Kimi saying the water system is leaking into his boots... not happy
“How can a person be proud over winning because of rain?”
He’s been a backmarker all his pathetic life, so to him and his cadre of morons, it was a “victory”. Logano and Keselowski etc would have put him in their rear mirrors, if the rain hadn’t come.
Yep. Logan and kez are awesome drivers. I’m wondering if the order wasn’t given for the leaders to back off the throttle a bit to allow Bubba to get the lead if rain started to loo, like it was gonna shut down the race? I wouldn’t put it last Nascar to do something underha did, ike that.
Especially with the high-voltage electrics on board!
