A Very Predictable Global Energy Crisis

Gas prices in Europe are breaking record after record. The UK is facing supply shortages reminiscent of the late 1970s winter of discontent. Chinese factories are shutting down because of power shortages, and the outlook is grim. In fact, it may be the first crisis of many.

When gas prices in Europe started rising faster and faster last month as the continent prepared for winter and found out it was not the only one, gas suddenly became important. That's after being excluded from the list of low-carbon energy sources and after the EU's green transition chief Frans Timmermans said gas had no place in the transition. It now appears Timmermans and his fellow Brussels bureaucrats could not have been more wrong.

Improved nuclear or bust. Also, no one needs more than 12v to see in the dark at home.

I’m a long-time energy investor and I use this site a lot, it’s very good.

Agreed. Not only a great resource for energy investing, but also a great resource for geopolitical news and analysis that’s largely ignored by news media.

For strictly home lighting a single 500 watt solar panel and a AGM deep cycle battery can run led lights for a week or more between a day of sunlight. While doing mission work in Latin America we installed a shallow well with DC pump run off a single panel during the day into a small water tower for the village. We also installed a single panel system with a AGM 12v deep.cycle in the church that runs led lights and a small fridge to keep.medication at storage temps in the church’s clinic. For a few hundred dollars you can have a off grid system that runs lights, a small fridge and a well pump drastically improving the quality of life in remote or impoverished area’s. Two panels is enough to bring a system up to running a electric slow cooker or hot plate inside eliminating burning run for wood inside to cook with. Slow cookers use 250 watts at first then cycle off and on to keep temp at 90C, a hot plate uses 800 in high. Two 500 watt solar panel in 8 hours of daylight make 8kWh more in the tropics where they get 12 hours of sun per day.

Anyone else wondering if Deep States all over the globe are planning a coordinated attack to attempt to freeze and/or starve their populations into submission?

Just curious. 😄
