Florida fugitive Brian Laundrie’s sister told protesters outside her Lakewood Ranch home Monday that her family has been ignoring her following the disappearance of her brother and the death of his fiancée.
When asked if her parents were helping Brian Laundrie evade authorities, she said, "I don't know" and that she hadn't been able to speak with them.
"I'm in the boat where I'm getting ignored by my family and thrown under the bus by my family's attorney," Cassie Laundrie said to a group of protesters Monday in video shared by TikTok user @chroniclesofolivia.
The lawyer Laundrie seemed to be referencing, Steve Bertolino blamed the media. "I do not represent Cassie Laundrie," he told Fox News Digital in a text message Monday night. "Cassie’s comments can only be attributed to the press twisting my words and hers, which were only given to clarify prior mischaracterizations by the press, with the hopes of further sensationalizing this tragic story."

"We are just as upset, frustrated and heartbroken as everybody else," Cassie Laundrie and her husband told the crowd. "I am losing my parents and my brother and my children’s aunt and future sister-in-law on top of this."

it would be helpful to have a full timeline that would allow staying up to speed on known facts at a glance. i would complain more vociferously but he who complains gets the task, and i just do not have the bandwidth for that at this time.
LOL!! My computer died. I’m on a spare that’s not much better.
What I saw in those videos was a desperate girl trying to hide and excuse his bad behavior on something she did. CLASSIC abusee.
WFLA has done a remarkable job of posting additional info updates in separate stories, easily located on the website.
> LOL!! My computer died. I’m on a spare that’s not much better.
actually my old laptop was on its last legs about 2 weeks ago. i got a new one but had to pack it for a vacation. new laptop appears to be shaky and so now i need to back it up and exchange it. who has time for this #@!$?
piggybacking, older article on brian’s parents:
https://nypost.com/2021/09/20/gabby-petito-disappearance-who-are-brian-laundries-parents/
now there is a new article about the “news” that brian flew home for a few days in mid august:
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4000876/posts
but is this really news? even i knew that, and i have not been following the case totally religiously. imho this goes to the point that we all could benefit from a truly comprehensive case timeline— and by all i mean also including the press...
They keep posting stuff we already know in order to keep the story alive.
> Here is a fairly good timeline—although it still has the big gap between Aug 12 and Aug 21/25—when we know BL flew back to FL to “empty out a locker.” During this time, Gabby was staying at a hotel in SLC near the airport.

> WFLA Gabby Petito Timeline
good, thanks, i will try to review it and if it’s comprehensive, use it.
(however, right now i am off to run errands that cannot wait. the temerity of real life to intrude on my armchair detective work... aarrgghh...)
We knew he lied because Gabby told the police to make sure BL had his charging cord. :-)
> My husband built our computers. He died in 2019 of a heart attack. When this spare dies, I guess I’m out of luck.
No! just go to costgo and get a new laptop for under $1k.
> They keep posting stuff we already know in order to keep the story alive.
IMHO The MSM has become noticeably less principled since the rise of our internet “friends” at google, fakebook, and so on... it has gone from “we are journalistic professionals always adhering to the highest standards of our profession” to “whatever pays the bills, and please do not bother with letters to the editor.”
Good catch!
Not on SS. LOL Besides, I HATE laptops.
Estate Sales. I’ve gotten some nice used computers that way.
The only thing I can figure is that when Brian returned to Florida, he might have given his parents a story about how she was accidentally killed, injured or lost. He asked for their help, and they agreed to shield him from Gabby's family first, and then the police. Once the news emerged that she was dead, and that Brian was charged with credit card fraud, they doubled down on silence and perhaps assisting him escape.
Of course, the immediate response to Brian's arrival in Florida should have been to help Gabby, or Gabby's parents. The Laundries have made one bad decision after another-perhaps at the urging of their lawyer, but who knows. In short, it has been a monumental cascade of bad choices. The fact that they didn't reflexively help a young woman (their future daughter-in-law!) or her family in a time of desperate need leads me to have no sympathy for them whatsoever. (In addition to the fact they're originally New York Democrats ruining the Great State of Florida.)
Thanks! It’s something to watch for.

New from Laundrie attorney Mr. Bertolino:
“Brian flew home to Tampa from SLC on 08/17 and returned to SLC on 08/23 to rejoin Gabby. To my knowledge Brian and Gabby paid for the flights as they were sharing expenses…

…Brian flew home to obtain some items and empty and close the storage unit to save money as they contemplated extending the road trip.”
Extend it where? They were in Wyoming and Utah headed for Oregon. I think he mentioned Calif to Moab cops.
I wonder when the white shed in the North Port back yard was purchased. Also wonder whether Brian's camping equipment (e.g. tent) was located during the FBI search.
