The press and its Democrat allies are portraying a wave of Haitian migrants heading north from South America as just poor, pitiful, refugees looking for relief from poverty. Turns out that's not the case. It's well-known that most of those coming up are country-shoppers rather than refugees, having been previously resettled in prosperous Chile and Brazil as refugees a decade ago. What's more, a lot of them have gotten jobs and made money.

We could use some of these folks to refurbish Detroit. Bring back the French influence. The article mentions pics that shows how well dressed some of these people are. The big butts on the women don't suggest poverty.

I always assumed the definition of a well heeled Hatian was one that had sun glasses with both lenses.

I wondered yesterday how the "refugees" were able to afford to pay for housing--in US dollars, no less! Looking at their clothes and shoes! also made me wonder....

They could afford those shoes through hard work. We could use them. I say let them in.
To: DIRTYSECRET
Nah. They’re being funded by Left wing organizations. Period.

How DO Socialist Democrats choose which group of invaders to root for, when their main goal in life IS to divide people into groups and then pick them off, one by one in their never-ending QUEST to destroy America?
Decisions, decisions! *SPIT*

We have enough human roaches here. We need to get rid of the ones we have, not import more.

They can stay the hell outta here too. Well appointed people with lots of money are at the top of the heap of graft and organized crime in Third World nations. They're just as likely to organize to do the same over here as they did over there. And with the sort of corrupt fed law enforcement we have they could get away with it and prosper unimpeded.

If they are working, they are not refugees....
The people in the pictures in the article are wearing hiking boots. Those are not the types of shoe people wear in Haiti, if they wear any. In Haiti, people wear sandals or athletic shoes.
And if they are working hard in Latin America, why do they have US dollars?
I do not mind letting people in legally.
I think we should have laws which reflect our needs and somewhat the needs of others (given that it is 1/12th the cost to take care of refugees closer to their homes) and enforce them.
And not let people in any old which way. What is happening is ridiculous.
