A couple of suggestions/observations:

1) You could have just as easily written “Please post on topic”. Instead you were taking a stick and poking the stray.

2) Just ignore comments that you consider to be personal attacks or posts that are just attempting to provoke a response from you. Look back and consider the posting history of those making it personal. IGNORE THEM. Scroll on by, or if have some technology to help (a Firefox extension written by a college student is what I use to gray out posts by FReepers in a “gray list”), then use it.

Reconsider your response strategy to certain posts.

Yes we did. He likely didn't keep his immunity up. Which is common. Then once you get into the hospital you're screwed. The hospital protocols are doing everything wrong. Putting people on a ventilator creates Hydrogen peroxide in your lungs. Which is why about 90% of those that go on a ventilator dies.
