If you cannot have a k-9 to protect your home, then all dogs must be put down!!!! Even your little Jack Russell. Even the smallest dog with teeth must be executed. BS. The man had a right to own his dogs and they were locked up safely INSIDE his home and not out running loose. While inside THEIR territory, those dogs are property locked up, safely away from any other humans. The damned crook got his @$$ torn up while breaking in. What are the dogs suppose to do when he broke in, dial 9-1-1, hide under the bed, run out of the house barking in fear??? Nope, I’d vote not guilty on the homeowner and leave his dogs alone. They did nothing but attack some guy in the dark that they did not know. Sad results for the bad guy and his family, but I don’t blame the home owner.
