BAY COUNTY, Fla. -- An investigation is ongoing surrounding a 14-year-old child from Panama City who allegedly has ties to two false bomb threats in the U.S.

Alex Solorio, 14, is being charged twice with Principal To Making A False Bomb Threat for threats that occurred at Arnold High School in Panama City and Canon McMillan High School in Pennsylvania.

On Sept. 13, Bay County deputies say they secured the school grounds and coordinated an evacuation of Arnold High School after a threatening phone call was made.

A release says, North Strabane Township Police Department in Canonsburg, Pa, relayed information about their own bomb threat at Canon McMillan High School and Bay County deputies believe it may have been tied their own threat in Panama City based on their similarities.

Deputies made contact with Solorio on Sept. 13, and say in a release that Solorio called in the threat at Canon McMillan High School. In return, a student at Canon McMillan agreed to call a threat into Arnold High School.

The release adds, the investigation is ongoing between Bay County Sheriff's Office and North Strabane Township Police Department. Further charges are expected in both incidents.

Solorio's age prevents Channel 3 from receiving the minor's mugshot from public records.

Where’s the father? Kid needed attention. He’s got it now. Ever wonder why black kids get into trouble? It’s a different kind of trouble I must admit.

Could boarding schools be the answer? Monday thru Friday. Both parents work 50+ hours per week. Weekends are total family on the couch. Staff the schools with retired drill sargents. Smokey the bear-types.
