Dog the Bounty Hunter, who is on the hunt for fugitive Brian Laundrie, has reportedly come across a fresh campsite at a Florida park where he and his team found a can of Monster Energy Ultra Gold.
The can showed no signs of rust or faded colors, but the reality TV star — whose real name is Duane Chapman — found no firm evidence the late Gabby Petito’s boyfriend was still on Egmont Key in the woods of Shell Island near Fort De Soto Park, Fox News reported.
“We’re here at the island. This would be and could be the perfect spot for him to hide. Not too many people out here but there’s a lot of environmental things that we’re going to fight,” Chapman said on Twitter Wednesday.
“So here we go. The search now is really on. The search has just begun,” the 68-year-old added.
A source close to Chapman told The Post this week that the celebrity manhunter was on Florida’s Marco Island and setting up a home base in the Sunshine State from which to launch his search for Laundrie.
On Wednesday, he was at Fort De Soto Park — some 75 miles from Laundrie’s home — where Laundrie and his parents camped out on Sept. 6, five days after he returned alone from the couple’s cross-country trip in her van.

At first, I thought his was some kind of publicity stunt (may still be). Now, I want Dog to find him first.
Probably an extreme outside chance of a crocodile being in the area. Other than that, it’s just creepy-crawlies. There are small crabs that climb mangroves, and Florida has some weird spiders. Walking on mangrove prop roots is possible if the trunks are close enough together. They usually aren’t. If he’s in there, he won’t be moving in the dark. Not sure if they get the afternoon rains in that area. Food and water are his big problems. Doesn’t seem like he could expose himself long enough to do any fishing.
Very interesting and since I’m not from the area I greatly appreciate the breakdown. I really don’t think he’s anywhere near Florida at this point.
As far as food goes I presume that his parents stocked him up on non-perishable items and possibly canned goods to last a while. Cliff bars, crackers, nuts will sustain him for considerable time and are easy to transport if he has to move. Water and canned goods are another matter and would require hunkering down.
It’s hard to put oneself in the shoes of a sociopath but I think he’s most likely headed towards the Canadian border where he can camp out until the winter while avoiding people. Mexico is too wide open.
If the Dirty Laundries are communicating with burner phones, not a stretch to assume the parents are alerting their spawn about search activities. Move and hide.
First of all, “Erik”, calling fellow FReeprs “stupid” isn’t very nice. It’s also something you’d never do to my face. So STFU. Second of all, the “evidence” is now contaminated by Dog and his idiot reality-tv crew who have handled the can. You’re being conned by the media and a guy who calls himself “Dog”. Very convenient they found a can that looks like the can the mother had in her bag. You seem like a real smart guy “Erik”.
Dog caught the cosmetic heir hiding in Mexico. He does get vibe on people. He did pick up the Landrie family had been north while the cops were searching south wondering in a swamp.
No. They were killed just outside Moab, UT, which is where the body camera footage from the police captured the two of them after a fight.
If Dog has credible evidence regarding the whereabouts of Laundrie, why is he sharing that information with the world? Why not keep quiet, track him down, capture him, then alert the authorities (and the TV networks) that you are bring Laundrie in?
Egmont Key is popular for day-trippers.
So does every one else that camps on the island
Too late it has already been compromised and will be tossed if it comes up at any trial
I can, read some of this garbage.
Very day the NY Post has another useless piece of info
The Appalachian Trail conjecture is intriguing. Fresh water and places to fish, maybe the occasional cabin to raid.
That’s an excellent find!!
Wow! Good job.
I’m stealing those pics. LOL
So he is a murderer and A LITTERER! Now he’s really in trouble!
This guy is making law enforcement look like the Keystone Kops.
Thank God that litterbug didn’t have a plastic straw in that can. I’m sure Dog crushed it like a man for his reality TV crew. Quite a discovery that Bozo the Booty Hunter has learned that people camp in camp grounds and often litter.Meanwhile, back at the ranch ,,,

I laugh hard every time I see one of your comments full of jealousy about this guy.
“Dog” gets up every noon, does his makeup and hair, picks out an outfit and meets with his camera crew while all we do is poke holes in his work. Shame on us.
Because no one else in Florida camps there?
“This has become a freak show”
There was never any doubt about it becoming one.
