The FBI has taken Brian Laundrie’s cellphone as part of its manhunt for the 23-year-old fugitive — but it is unclear where his slain girlfriend’s phone is, according to a report.
Laundrie went missing from his parents’ Florida home more than two weeks ago and is sought for questioning in the disappearance and death of 22-year-old Gabby Petito.
The FBI have executed a search warrant at Laundrie’s parents’ home in North Port and returned for DNA evidence Sunday — and have taken Laundrie’s phone, Insider reported.
Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino confirmed last week that Laundrie fled the home without his wallet and phone.

Evidently she wasn’t a Republican leader if the FBI wasn’t already connected to her phone.
check bear scat
Well, she’s dead. She doesn’t need it.
Dumb cops wasting time trying to find a dead girl’s phone.
Who she gonna call? Ghostbusters?
I thought the body was found.
Probably can be found with the millions of cell phones that went silent in China in the Fall of 2019.
The phone might contain evidence. If he was smart it’s at the bottom of some lake.
If I hadn’t shot poor Delia
I would’ve had her for my wife.
Delia’s gone, one more round
Delia’s gone.
fibbers have a bad track record on recovering data from their own cell phones
Hers was. His hasn’t been yet
That would make it more of a sport, perhaps even open it up to betting. I am baffled about what Nancy Grace is doing. This is her "meat and potatoes". There's already Dawg, Nancy Grace could gin up even more interest. If only we could get Al Sharpton to chime in too Wow! That would make it a perfect storm.
Can’t they get the lion’s share of the data from the cell provider?
“The FBI has taken Brian Laundrie’s cellphone as part of its manhunt for the 23-year-old fugitive — but it is unclear where his slain girlfriend’s phone is, according to a report.”
Unless Laundrie destroyed the cell phone the FBI would be able to locate it just flying a plane from the location she was found back to laundries residence.
The FBI has the technology to pick up those pings. and if they don’t they sure could borrow it from the military.
Read the headline again, slowly. It's talking about her phone.
Yes, evidence that the FBI was involved.
August 25: Gabby Petito's mother speaks to her daughter for the last time by phone.
Gabby’s final Instagram post is also published on Aug. 25.
August 27: Gabby's white van is spotted and videoed in the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area on the edge of Grand Teton National Park. (This video, by the way, is what led to the discovery of her body.)
Also, her mother said she received a text from Gabby’s phone on the 27th.
August 30: Gabby’s mother receives a final text from Gabby’s phone. The content of both the 27th and 30th texts causes the mom to be skeptical they actually came from her daughter.
Sept. 1: Laundrie arrives in North Port, Florida alone with the van.
Sept. 1–3 and Sept. 6-8: Laundrie’s parents spend the night in Fort De Soto Park, a Florida campground some 75 miles from their home, with their son twice in early September.
Sept. 11: Gabby’s family reports her missing
Sept. 17: Around 9:00 p.m. ET, the Laundrie family’s attorney confirms that the whereabouts of Brian Laundrie are unknown and that his parents haven't seen him since Tuesday (Sept. 14).
Sept. 19: FBI officials announce that a body had been found by law enforcement agents searching camping sites in the area of Spread Creek. It was later confirmed that the remains were those of Gabby Petito.
the august 27 text from gabby to her mother is slightly ambiguous in the sense that at least in hypothetically it could have been an attempt from gabby to send her mother a surreptitious signal that gabby was having difficulty with brian: in particular, it was unusual for gabby to refer to her grandfather by his first name (stan or something like that imho), and the conjecture is that this was the signal (in contrast to brian using the phone and referring to stan without knowing that this would have been unusual for gabby to do).
this in turn would hypothetically move the latest possible time of death up a day or two from august 27th.
Brian Laundrie argued in Wyoming restaurant hours before Gabby Petito vanished: eyewitnesses
England also provided a credit card statement showing he spent $60.88 at the restaurant Aug. 27.
The incompetent tyrants are looking for a phone.
