R. Kelly was found guilty Monday of sexually abusing women, boys and girls for decades — capping the ’90s R&B superstar’s stunning fall from grace.
The “I Believe I Can Fly” crooner, 54, was convicted on all nine counts including racketeering and violations of the Mann Act, which prohibits the transport of “any woman or girl” across state lines for any “immoral purpose.”
He faces life in prison.
The jury of seven men and five women deliberated for about nine hours across two days before reaching their unanimous verdict.
From the beginning of the month-long trial in the federal courthouse in Downtown Brooklyn, prosecutors painted Kelly, 54, as a “predator” who used his fame and a cadre of employees to prey on young victims.

I have to admit ignorance. Other than knowing about the allegations against him, I had never heard of this man.
Was there a joke about them playing “I believe I can fly” to the judge as his bail hearing?

It had to do with an experiment of a mad scientist who discovered that feeding porpoises newly hatched seagulls extended their life almost indefinitely. The porpoises were housed in an aquarium that belonged to the state and had two stone lions, symbols of that state, guarding the entrance.
Chappelle’s R-Kelley skit was awesome. Especially the remix edition, lol!

I know of this guy and his music. I’m surprised they nailed him so hard. Would have thought with his kind of money, he could buy better justice.

I think he got acquitted on some charges before. He went to far and made it to obvious, I’m guessing.
