Nobody had to twist my arm...

I first started to run across rumors Trump might run sometime about 3 months before he announced. I knew nothing about the guy, just another millionaire, so what? That was just about my whole opinion.

But I have said since the late 80s we need someone in the white house who:

Is not a politician
Is too rich to be bought
Listens to the people instead of the lobbyist groups
Has the business sense to realize the government cannot spend more than it makes.

I wondered if Trump might fit the bill.

So I started to look up information about Donald Trump. Some interesting stuff out there, and before he became a politician, hardly a word of it was negative. His butler at Mar A Lago seemed to have much respect for the guy and related how he brought him his newspapers every morning...5 of them...and how now and then he would walk the grounds and if he found things looking good, he would hand out $100 bills to all the groundskeepers.

He has a long standing reputation for going to his jobsites, and after checking in with the supervisors, walks arund and taks to the workers. The guy who has a hammer in his hand etc. That’s why he was called a blue collar billionaire. Oh yeah, I didn’t know he was a billionaire either..or that he had a TV show...

About the only thing I did find negative was the stories about him using imminent domain to force people off their property, then I found out only the government can do that, no private individual can use imminent domain, so it was a nothingburger. Probably because he had decided to quit the democrats and sign up as a republican, dems wanted revenge.

So by the time he announced he was running, I basically had one question left. Was he serious, or would he be bought off by the existing political establishment? 3 months into his campaign I was pretty sure he wasn’t going to be bought off...

I’ve been a fan ever since.

Took some heat for it in my early days here on FR, before many of you folks got on the Trump Train...I had lurked around here for 3 or 4 years, finally decided to sign up to try and get some of these people to look at the articles and interviews I had, rather than the media tripe, and realize he was the real deal.

Here it is 6 years later and I’m hoping to see him back in the oval office before this country is completely demolished by the commies in charge now...or to try and rebuild what he can after they trash the place. And they will. Inclluding the white house.

Hill and Billary trashed the place, literally. Yhey left garbage all over many offices, rotten food and feces in locked desk drawers, threw away the keys, all the “W” keys removed from keyboards, obscene grafitti on office walls in permanent Sharpie, office doors wouldn’t close, maintenance found some of the missing W” keys super glued to the tops of the doors...I fully expect biden’s crew to do the same, and I’m willing to bet stompy feet dud when he left too. If so, Trump did what bush did, told them to clean it up and just keep quiet about it.

But he hasn’t lost his voice, If he had, 20,000 plus wouldn’t still show up every time he lines up a rally. Was it over 30,000 this time? I can’t remember, over 20,000 is a safe guess...millions view online too.

And as someone else said, I don’t know one person who is not still a strong Trump supporter. I see almost all the Trump signs and flags still up, and some new 2024 sings apperaing recently. I can’t find a biden sign anywhere. Including where I knew they were before the farce of an election. One neighborhood where I went to a couple of yard sales had a half dozen biden signs..not one left 2 weeks after the election. The Trump signs in the same neighborhood still there today.

And the 2024 signs that just appeared recently? Mostly in locations where nothing was before.

Well, I knew he was a billionaire and had a TV Show: The Apprentice. But that was about the extent of my knowledge about him. I really took his announcement as a joke.

I would cringe at some of the things he said because the press was going to fry him for it. But to my surprise he was a fighter. His talk about the country is what swayed my support. His willingness to fight back cemented the deal. It was then that I started discussions with my fiends that this country needs Trump as president. I got push back from some, but they slowly came around, and were glad they did.
