Changing coaches again just makes matters worse.
Maybe the glory days will never return to Lincoln, but I think sticking with Frost will eventually get them competitive again.
I think it’s funny the folks at FSU are really wanting Deion Sanders to come coach there.
I remember when UF was searching for their coach (ultimately we got Mullen), most UF faithful had Frost on top of their wish list.
I tend to agree with you and I regret the fans seem not to agree with us.
I am absolutely shocked how undisciplined his teams have been and the amount of stupid plays you see from them. Never would’ve thought that from a Scott Frost coached team in a million years.
I told you that a few weeks ago. That is the word.
Yes it is! A dear friend is a Nebraska alum. When we go to her house for the game, we'd best be wearing RED.
She's just beside herself with how bad the team is doing and she was an avid Frost backer when he took over in 2018. She can't wait to see him go now.
I think my Sooners are in a rebuilding year but no one knows it yet.
Now I will say, I think Deion could potentially be a great recruiter. I’ve seen his talks in the lockerroom, he’s very inspiring, the Jackson State players love playing for him.
And let’s just say the way Taggart was treated at FSU, didn’t exactly sit well with a certain demographic.
He could develop into a good coach as well. Problem is the staff- does he hire his buddies from Prarie view or get top notch assistants. Herm Edwards did a good job of the latter.
And replace him with who?
If Taggert won it wouldn’t have mattered. Getting his asked kicked by the Hurricanes put a target on his back.
Q: What does the “N” on the side of Nebraska’s helmets stand for?
A: Knowledge.
And now they’re losing to Jacksonville State, and realistically have a shot at going 1-11 this year. Really the only game that’s a sure thing for FSU is UMass.
Always thought that Steve Pederson started the football program on the way to ruin. Hiring Callahan after he got canned by the Raiders was crazy. Frank Solich had some good recruiting and it was slowly starting to show results. He went on to Ohio and finished out a good coaching career.
When Pederson got canned, it was a good day.
Should have moved Martinez to backup and put Noah Vedral as starter two year s ago.. He is doing good at Rutgers. Martinez must be a great practice QB but he can’t see downfield and continually throws 4 yards downfield when we need 6 for the first down. He has no idea where the marker is when he runs.
Look at Dave Clawson at Wake Forest, and how well they’re playing this year.
He’s been there since 2013, had some pretty bad years, but they stuck with him. And now, I think they really have a shot at winning the ACC this year, based on what I’ve seen so far.
Canning Solich was really the beginning of the downfall.
I’ve no idea. I don’t really follow college football much. My Nebraska alum friend throws great football parties. That’s why I go. :-)
