Now, now. Be fair. If memory serves the reigns on the little mechanical horse I rode when I was three were tied to make a nice little loop. :)

(forgot to mention that if they are tied and the horse isn't mounted, then the horse can run off without you. If the reigns are loose, like they are supposed to be, and you drop the reigns to the ground.. the horses learn real fast to stop (because they will step on the reigns, and I'm sure they don't like that 😜)).
