I would consider aspirin before the shot. Maybe a hefty dose. Mitigate those blood clots. Of course if one is already on blood thinners, then probably no.
Interestingly enough is a search brings up all kinds of articles against aspirin before the vax. Makes me suspicious. Here's one from the CDC:
