Modest update on the work/vaxx mandate situation. I talked with my manager today, pretty much told him that I won’t be taking the vaccine. He was pretty understanding, told me to not make any hasty moves (as in don’t retire), and said that there are a lot of steps between the deadline and termination, if that even happens.
He is of a mind that the management of our little corner of dot-gov is going to try to slow-walk this thing, in order to preserve the workforce, hoping to outlast the idiot in the white hut.
The way I look at it now, each month I stay on the job is about $40 more a month in income after I retire.
