Something is going on in this segment of science. There are a considerable number of research groups studying the matter. -Sidebar Moderator

The issue isn’t whether we allow skepticism, it is whether we allow hyperskeptics and skeptopaths to ruin the scientific dialog. Civil discussion of the involved science is desired.

I wonder where are the physicists from MIT who said cold fusion was poppycock, that Pons and Fleischmann were sloppy in their procedures and didn’t know how to do calorimetry, who declared “The Death of Cold Fusion” back in 1989? We don’t hear much from them anymore.

I know of one who for sure is no longer among the living, so maybe that’s a factor.
