“Respiratory viruses typically thrive in cold temperatures — winter.”

The reason they do so is NOT the cold. It is the lack of exposure to sunlight. The days are dramatically shorter and because of the cold temps people remain inside and out of direct sunlight. That is why viruses such as the flu and cold run rampant in the Winter months. Sunlight to viruses truly is a tremendous disinfectant.

Not to mention air is being shared indoors, and the risk goes way up when you are all inside together for over an hour.

Once again, I was not discussing epidimiology, and not UV exposure, I was discussing viral viability in the context of temperature. Is it that difficult to see the distinction?
