I’ve always said that if immortality (or great life extension) is perfected, it will have to be the province of an exclusive and secret club. Otherwise, the masses would tear the immortals limb from limb out of jealousy.
Also, if everyone lives forever, what do we do about the children?
Grow them in a lab for organ donor purposes but keep them in a coma until they're of no more use. Then make soylent green out of them to feed the servants.
