I find African blacks to be culturally much different than American blacks.
************
I could see that in that American blacks were here to be slaves
and treated as much.
In parts of this country they weren’t mixed with the whites until
after the early/mid `1900s.
They will be back. In Ghana you gotta work to get food and water on the table. You get nothing else. If you decide to loot then you will be killed by the people that grew up there.
Hell, you’d do better on welfare here in the states rather than move to Ghana.
I wonder how many "Americans" who leave for Ghana earn both in Ghana and collect their welfare/unemployment/social security payments in the U.S. since they have no trail of income to prevent them from recieving our handouts.
Democrat city neighborhood..
surprised africa will take them...
those wi military service will fare better than the rest
equivelent to living in Detroit or Philadelphia
I wish them well, as I do all people, but I do not think this is, or is going to be, a widespread trend.
But, of course, CBS News is going to make a huge deal about it, as though millions are on the cusp of abandoning their homes in America.
And they still have to file US Tax returns and pay US taxes even if they live abroad, bet they didn’t think about that.
she'll be back.....they have lovely brown golf courses there and I am sure the general health and cleanliness of the country will bring her to the senses.
That’s a shame. NOT.
I am betting that they will regret the move.
Quite by accident, I met a man in the driveway of my apartment complex looking for a 6-month lease on a two bedroom apartment. The office was closed, so he started telling me why he wanted it. He was an American missionary in Ghana home for a six-months leave.
Of course my eyebrows went up. He reassured me that people in Ghana are very nice and civilized, have a democratic form of government and even the Muslims there are kind, open-minded people. I was fascinated. Nice fellow, I wish I could hear more from him or someone like him with first-hand experience in a that who-knows-what country.
I have a friend who's a Haitian Immigrant to America, and on numerous occasions he'd hang his head in shame with their behaviour. He thinks that they're behaviour reflects on all people with dark skin. He's right.
Can anything be more inspiring?
That is certainly one way to look at the civil rights era of the 50’s and 60’s. An incredibly stupid and naive way, but one nonetheless.
What a concept. We should try that here.
My Irish descendants came to America after the Civil War.
I owe blacks nothing.
Interesting that Nigerians cannot stand American blacks. My doctor is from Nigeria, best doc I ever had. He has a thriving practice in a 90% white area, a nice home in a good neighborhood, three growing sons. He does go back to Nigeria every December. One year to do free medical work there and the alternating year to take his family to visit relatives.
return policy for move to Ghana....
Ours was 40 acres and a mule.
Ghana’s is 40 acres and one of your choice of Cattle, pig, poultry, goat or sheep (”predominant livestock produced in Ghana.”)

Question: Is Xfinity cable available?
Most crime is committed by whites. Blacks chime in at 26.9%.
Black man looking at neighborhood....
the 1988 song by Leonard Cohen
Everybody Knows
....
And everybody knows that it’s now or never
Everybody knows that it’s me or you
And everybody knows that you live forever
Ah, when you’ve done a line or two
Everybody knows the deal is rotten
Old Black Joe’s still pickin’ cotton
For your ribbons and bows
And everybody knows
And everybody knows that the Plague is coming
Everybody knows that it’s moving fast
Everybody knows that the naked man and woman
Are just a shining artifact of the past
Everybody knows the scene is dead
But there’s gonna be a meter on your bed
That will disclose
What everybody knows
Everybody knows that the boat is leaking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died
Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long-stem rose
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that you love me baby
Everybody knows that you really do
Everybody knows that you’ve been faithful
Ah, give or take a night or two
Everybody knows you’ve been discreet
But there were so many people you just had to meet
Without your clothes
And everybody knows
