The FBI announced Tuesday that Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue has confirmed remains found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest are those of Gabrielle Petito.

The coroner determined the 22-year-old's manner of death to be homicide. The exact cause of death is still under investigation.

That’s my understanding as well. Another poster is stating that suicide is a subset of homicide.
I didn’t think that to be so.

I thought hes in his 30’s

No. He and Gabby went to HS together. There's another Brian Laundrie who is 37.

Seven possibilities

1 separation happened before homicide (suicide)

2 separation happened before homicide (3rd party foul play)

3 separation happened after homicide (suicide)

4 separation happened after homicide (3rd party foul play)

5 Brian killed gabby (self defense)

6 Brian killed gabby (manslaughter)

7 Brian planned to kill, then killed gabby (murder)

Uk daily mail reporting that Brian was possibly sighted at baker, Florida panhandle

Brian might be attempting to get to Mexico border on foot(?)

“Apparently she was buried so he’s on the hook no matter what.”

Always wonder what it is with people who make things up?
Why is that so much a need for you?

A nationwide manhunt should keep the state media busy so they can go on glossing over the disaster of President B and forget about the border crashers again as well.

“Homicide means not suicide, yes?”

Si Gator. Sadly, there’s people who have some need to make crap up.
They never disappoint either.

You can’t “homicide” yourself.

“They know how she died. They just aren’t saying right now.”

Nor should they in an active murder investigation. The Brian guy is on the run.

I’m not certain that that fits with definition of homicide...

I agree. That would be accidental, not homicide.

Time to unplug...

Who knows, but it’ll turn out that he was the one who shot those two lesbians murdered in Moab the day after the traffic stop.

“Such posters clearly had no experience in seeing a woman who has been emotionally beaten down by a controlling, jealous, sadistic “if I can’t have you, nobody can” type.”

Some posters have no experience with women that will kill you if you threaten them. My wife, shallow grave, first day of hunting season they would find my body.

If it were my daughter, I have an untraceable throw.

It is a sparsely populated State, so not many murders compared to TX or NY or FL.

Legally suicide is a form of homicide:

“Suicide is a homicide, but in most cases there is no one to prosecute if the suicide is ...”

He’s only 23 and life is a looooong time.

It could be.

In 1965, Duane Pope, 22, murdered three people during a bank robbery in Big Springs, Neb. He was sentenced to death, but his sentence was commuted to life, and he is currently still in prison 56 years later.

But that same year, Robert Massey was sentenced to death for murdering a woman in San Gabriel, Calif. However, after a court struck down the death penalty in 1972, his sentence was commuted to life--and he was out six years later, having served a total of 13 years. Then he promptly went out and committed another murder in the course of a robbery and was again sentenced to death--and this time, the sentence was carried out.
