An attorney for Brian Laundrie’s family abruptly canceled a press conference scheduled for Tuesday – as authorities ramp up a criminal probe of the likely death of Laundrie’s girlfriend, Gabby Petito.
“As per my conversation with the FBI this evening there will be no press conference tomorrow,” attorney Steven Bertolino told The Post.
But Bertolino said it was “not true” that the FBI had advised him to cancel.
“Just not in my clients’ best interest,” he wrote in a text message.
The press conference would have been held on the same day of the autopsy on female human remains found in Wyoming that authorities believe is Petito, 22.

Idiots convict before the facts are known. Everything is circumstantial at this point. To be honest, his behavior DOES look very suspicious and he probably did do it. But this Convicted-before-trial behavior is bullshit. Stop doing it.
No one involved in this case should be enabling the media to make it into a ratings earner and money maker. Its not entertainment. Its a person’s life gone. It’s someone’s parents trying to protect their son, whom they love. Its another set of parents who are grieving and deserve justice for their loss. NONE of this is for fun or for your entertainment or for your sense of moral outrage.
Any statements made now could come back to bite them.
This is one of the most fascinating and frustrating aspects of this case. The parents know more, but they've remained tight-lipped from the beginning. As I mentioned on another thread, I understand they're trying to protect their son, but they're doing more harm than good. If their son committed this crime, he must be held accountable. Lawnmower parents can't stop it.

My thoughts are after listening to John Walsh’s comments, they threw him out fearing for their own lives at night.
Walsh has called it all right so far.
Brian is enjoying his last few days of freedom playing hide and seek. He will be found. Funny thing about helicopter and FLIR.
It looks to me like they sent the police on a wild goose chase into the swamp..................

The public can't convict anyone -- it takes a court to do that. People are just expressing opinions, and the Constitution says nothing about that in the criminal justice context. And people are convicted based on circumstantial evidence all the time.

I’ve said that all along…it’s the “he went that way” diversion. He’s probably 1/2 way to Brazil now. Or some other “no extradition” country.

Don’t be shocked if they go with insanity. The girl’s friend said Brian had trouble sleeping and heard voices. That’s schizophrenia. He may be insane. If one of the 5 voices in his head told him she was the devil woman out to get him he might get sent to the cookie farm.
