I truly do not understand your 1st paragraph.
You stated, ‘with what we’ve been given I can only see them as some very shady people.’
But you haven’t been ‘given’ anything that you can really know is true. You’re just exercising conjecture based on stuff you’ve read on the Internet or seen on TV.
That’s not much upon which to hang a conclusion; and at this point, nobody owes you any more anyway.
