I’m on Metoprolol already. Maybe I need a better one. NO.. maybe I need to get this figured out lol. πŸ€ͺ

I have a doctor’s appt on Tues.

Tell your heart to be a Cardiodoo, not a Cardiodont.

Being tired a lot is a sign of heart issues. Get it checked pronto!

They put me on Metoprolol, 25 mg daily after emergency quad bypass. It turned me into a zombie. Couldn’t think, no ambition etc.

Cut it in half and doing fine a year later later. Mind cleared, got ma mojo back.

***I’m on Metoprolol already***

I am fairly certain that is your problem. Thirty years ago Beta blockers did the same to me. I was giving my tools and my car away for when I (expected to) die. A friend took me (I wasn't driving) to their doctor and he took me off of Beta blockers... and here I am today (somewhere) 😌

On all medical forms I list Beta blockers as an allergy. I refuse to take them! They may try to sneak them on you; look for the ~olol ending. CAVEAT! Some heart conditions (uncontrollable heart rate, e.g.) may require Beta blockers as the only resort. In that case you may have to endure the fatigue consequences. Ask for another Beta blocker alternative; see if you tolerate that better.

I was lucky; they wanted to slow my heart beat just because they thought it was a little high. My son, a cardiac RN, says that many cardiologists think that Beta blockers are miracle drugs (which they may be for many.) There were demands for laws to make everyone take Beta blockers! That would be at least as bad as demanding that everyone take the jab!

Praying your heart issues/questions get resolved and you’ll be feeling better soon.

Perhaps an anticoagulant (Heparin, Coumadin, Warfarin, or Eliquis, others) will help if it is A fib. They could advise cardiac ablation.

A lot of people are asymptomatic, but if you are feeling it strongly than you do need to see a Cardiologist.
