Mystery surrounding the whereabouts of 22-year-old Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito deepened late on Friday, after police in Florida said they were working with the FBI to locate 23-year-old Brian Laundrie, Petito’s fiance who is described as “a person of interest” in her disappearance.
Garrison, the police chief, told ABC: “I can’t speculate as to why he’s not talking, but he has the pieces to the puzzle that we need to find Gabby.”

If he was a person of interest, why wasn’t he under surveillance?
There are tactical reasons for this which is why the POI term is used universally now. Labeling a person a “suspect” too early can be used against the state at trial.
The Petito family says he is hiding, not missing. They probably know.

You are exactly right. While this is a tragic story that goes across state lines, it is not the first or last of its kind. The people involved are average unknowns, who live lives in quiet desperation. The bigger stories are the United States no longer having an southern border; the WH occupant with mental and physical problems selectively enforcing laws; the devastation of Afghanistan - how the American people were lied to for 20 years to spend over a trillion dollars only to arm the terrorists, Milley’s treason, Xiden’s unprecedented facist move to use corporatons to do his dirty work in denying Americans their freedom over their own fmedical decisions, etc etc.
He won’t be “on the run” long.
He’s a millennial……he doesn’t know how to live like it’s the 1980s.
He needs apps, cell phones, internet, social media, bank and credit cards.
All of those things will locate him quickly.

Mild disguise of cameras that are everywhere too. Perhaps walk with a mild limp, eye glasses/sunglasses, never go anywhere that wants to see I.D.

It isn’t that hard to get away from being followed. He hasn’t been charged with anything yet. And, the FBI wasn’t involved until Thursday I think.

That’s odd- his family said they hadn’t seen him since Tuesday.
