Missing Gabby Petito: Expert defense attorney says she 'wouldn't be surprised if there's an arrest' of fiancé

Brian Laundrie, through his lawyer, has still refused to speak with police about the possible whereabouts of his missing fiancé Gabby Petito, whose van he drove home to Florida from out West 10 days before she was reported missing.

Laundrie’s attorney has only released a pair of statements that do not address the missing 22-year-old’s possible whereabouts or last known location.

"I can see why criminal defense lawyer would say, you know what, you can't. You got to stay in the background: Don't talk," said Lara Yeretsia, a leading West Coast-based defense attorney. "but I can also see why it's so difficult in this situation, how horrific it is and what the impact is, because he's the last person who saw her."

At least according to the cops at the scene of the stop.

Which is a joke. First Laundrie says he has no phone then claims he'll text Gabby. With no phone? Laundrie posed for pics of a fingernail ‘scratch’ on his arm and the scratch on his cheek (described as a “swollen eye” by the officer).

‘We have no right to cast stones unless we have walked in the bfs shoes. Forgive mixed metaphor.”

The only reason for not helping to find his gf is that he doesn’t want her found.

But then, I have never off’d a loved one.

If he drove HER van home without her, wouldn’t that possibly be vehicle theft?

As much as I hate him for his politics, Dave Matthews did an excellent remake of this.

Nope. He had assumed permission, as he was seen in their pics and vids as driving. The car wasn't reported stolen. The mere fact he has the car and she is missing is suspicious to the max, but there is no crime there.

“If he said he didn’t know what happened, you wouldn’t believe him. Why bother?”

He has to know something ...

No excuse for driving home and not telling her parents something.

“Nope. He had assumed permission, “

I don’t think it would include his driving back to Florida without her.

Why does he “have” to know anything?

I could come up with half a dozen scenarios that would explain him coming home without her.

But, if you want to know why he shouldn’t talk to the cops is that it makes their job more difficult. If he talked, they would simply focus on holes, inaccuracies, or gaps that everyone has in their lives.

He cannot help himself—or anyone else in this situation. But…he could do himself a ton of harm.

If Gen Flynn had done this…he would have been a lot better off.

Except the police were called in on a potential domestic abuse charge and only reluctantly let them both go after video released shows both admitting that blood was drawn and at least some slapping and pushing were involved. Involved enough that they sent them to separate locations for the evening.

This happened within a day of the disappearance. I find that suspicious enough. I don’t know why they don’t.

I can think of the same. But, he was back in Florida, with her vehicle, ten days before the family realized she was missing. So you don’t think a fiancé, regardless of their differences, would want to know she at least made it back safely? Did he try to call her to see if she was ok and if she didn’t answer in a timely way, call the police and ask for help. An innocent person, who had nothing to fear, would have called the family immediately, explained they separated and disclosed the last time he saw her.

He is guilty as hell.

They realized earlier and even contacted police before the official report date.

“I could come up with half a dozen scenarios that would explain him coming home without her.”

But only. one involves not responding to her parents but instead going silent.

Actually I have not seen a clear explanation for how the Yosemite text fits in with a bf murder rap. How indeed does the bf drive from Yosemite to Florida in 48 hours? That is 48 hours of straight driving with no rest?

Maybe the text was sent from a different location than Yosemite and this is something that investigators are keeping close to their chest. Or perhaps it is explained in a news report that has not come to my attention yet (if so, help please)...

““Why does he “have” to know anything?”

He knows when and where and her condition when he last saw her.

He knows something.

the fiancee’ flew back to FL for several days to help his father with something.

It would certainly help your case if you could provide a link to that information but as of now, there is no such claim............
