As I remember this the phase-out of freon has led to vastly increased costs for all kinds of refrigerants: A/C for homes and autos, refrigerators, etc.

Now they are telling us it didn't work. But we are stuck with the higher costs.

Usual is every winter the hole appears because there is no sunlight. Almost magically it reappears in the spring with the return of the sun.
