I have mixed feelings here; of course he is the prime suspect and I agree he may have very well killed her.
OTOH, listening to her speak to the police and reading about her background, she seems like a real flake, a typical self-absorbed young girl who just may have just abandoned the guy.
That no one has heard from her recently is very alarming either way though.
