Tell Me About Your Ride
Yesterday, I inadvertantly hijacked a Bible Thread in the Religion Forum to talk about my Motorcycle. Since I started riding in late Autumn of 1972, next year will mark my 50th Anniversary on two wheels. At the time, women were not as avid bikers as they are today. My Present Bike is pictured above, and is a 93FXR in "Sapphire Blue". I bought it at Hampton Roads Harley Davidson on the way home from attending Rolling Thunder. I traded in my Sportster and did the 700 mile ride home on that beautiful bike. From the VIN, we have ascertained that she was born in the York, PA Plant sometime in June 1992, so next year, "Blue" will be thirty. Blue and I have done 8 Rolling Thunder Rallies together, one Daytona, Blue Ridge Parkway, The Colonial Triangle, Laconia and the Kangamangus Highway, Alligator Alley and Florida's Gulf Coast, The Florida Keys, I95 the whole way, and the Appalachians in West Virginia (Monongahela State Forest and Blackwater Falls). We have gone through Hurricanes, Tornadoes, and Flash Floods together. I'm posting this thread so we can share our stories without having to hijack a Bible Thread LOL!
Let Me hear From You.

I remember the Enduro.
As for Euro Bikes, be aware that the revered Oskar Schindler was a great fan of Ducati and raced the Euro Circuit prior to his heroism in saving Jewish lives during WW2.
He was able to Scooter Talk the SS into leaving his factory alone, with 300 Jews hiding on the other side of the wall.
Some Scooter talk, some petrol, some cigarettes, and they were on their way.
Why Spielberg didn’t include this very dramatic scene in his movie is a mystery to me.

Only because 2500 is a little far for an elderly widow to ride alone.
I’d love to go, but can’t get anyone to ride with me.

I’ve never ridden one.
But there is an awesome run through the Hindu Kush that is done on Royal Enfields.

Blue is a good color for motorsports. I suspect the boat I’ll buy has something blue about it.

I know all about kicking. That 1941 80 flathead nearly launched me over the handlebars more than once.

That sounds interesting! My ride.
85 hp three wheeler, cruises at 95 mph (and cops never bother me), seats two, range about 350 miles, built Sept 1946. Ercoupe 415-C.

Love me some motorcycle babes 😁😎
My only motorcycle was a 1982 Honda CB-650 Custom in maroon, beautiful bike, rode it, '85-'89 until we had children then sold it.

Had a friend with an 750 triple.
He hated going WFO because the vibration would destroy his taillights, or so he said.

I bought a new 72 Norton after hearing my buddy’s bike. Sold it a few weeks later when the oil leak from the points cam kept fouling it.

My 650 was a CX. Did yours have a water jacket or was it air-cooled?

My Sporty used to vibrate a LOT.
The engine was NOT rubber-mounted.
