In a statement issued by French Minister Of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-yves Le Drian and Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly, the country said the decision announced on Wednesday "is contrary to the letter and spirit of the cooperation that prevailed between France and Australia, based on a relationship of political trust as well as on the development of a very high-level defence industrial and technological base in Australia."
"The American choice to exclude a European ally and partner such as France from a structuring partnership with Australia, at a time when we are facing unprecedented challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, whether in terms of our values or in terms of respect for multilateralism based on the rule of law, shows a lack of coherence that France can only note and regret,"
France added that it is the "only European nation present in the Indo-Pacific with nearly two million citizens and more than 7,000 military personnel."

We have a historical revolution relationship with France against the ‘King’. Are we Colonies once again?
We elected (selected) a communist liittle ‘c. Why are we so different?
“France and Australia are both socialist, France has elected communist admins in the past. Why do we feel compelled to deal with any of them?”

We’re not a stone’s throw from being socialist these days. Look who’s running this nation. Or, rather, ruining this nation. A bunch of communist sympathizers and organizers.
Guessing Australia is ditching plans to visit their nuclear-phobic neighbor, New Zealand...
For the sake of economic prosperity and “order” in the world.
Location, location, location.
Reason: “Australia’s 12 new attack-class submarines – Australia’s largest military acquisition in its history – were originally slated to cost between $40 billion and $50 billion. According to the latest projections they will now cost about $90 billion to build and $145 billion to maintain over their life cycle. Despite the fact former prime minister Tony Abbott promised the first of the submarines would be in the water by the mid-2020s, it is now not scheduled to become operational until the mid-2030s.”
New Xiland has already made that decision for them.
15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th century European rivalries are being re-ignited....Oh joy!
It seems Australia thinks they might need a bit more range than diesel-electric can give.
Going nuke is not cheap in infrastructure.
What’s their change of mission? China.
“The Aussies should also start thinking about a nuclear weapons program while they’re at it. Red China is looking to gobble up the rest of the world and Australia sure as hell can’t count on Biden-type administrations anymore.”
ABSOLUTELY. And they need to understand how China views them...as a huge region to extract resources from - nothing more. If Australia ‘behaves’ (by Chinese standards), then Australians can mine their wealth and sell it to China, at whatever price China sees fit. If not, China will dispose of the Australians and send a few million of their own citizens to extract the wealth.
The world is different now...China has no need for uppity slaves, or any slaves, as they start moving out.
And the pharmaceutical mega-corps.
