All our Government departments are corrupt.......need a clean sweep which will never happen.
Keep in mind these are kids. Kids are taught to respect authority figures. Nassar was very good at coming up with a song and dance about how what he was doing was therapeutic and necessary. Just like all abusers, they use the authority of their title to declare everything they’re doing is right. And if the kid talks to their parents most folks don’t believe, this is USA Gymnastics, of course they wouldn’t hire a pedo. And the rare parents that do anything generally start within the organization, so then Nassar comes in with the “that’s not exactly what happened” song and dance. These things only break when you get enough parents who don’t buy it and start talking to each other, then the cops, then the media when the cops won’t listen.

I have a niece who I thought could make it big in modeling and decided it was not the safe place for her to be working.
Modeling, gymnasts and women’s golf/tennis.
All places you don’t want your family members involved.

I think there is a likely a very hidden underground scandal around the AAU boys basketball circuit for kids at least aiming for NBA. Similar dynamics except more desperate families and even more money dangled as the potential reward.
There were cases where a parent was present in the room when doctor Nassar “treated” the gymnasts. Some of the most naive girls did not realize they were being sexually assaulted at the time. Nassar was providing “therapy.”
