"Well, after I killed her there wasn't much point to keeping her body around, so I left her. Makes sense, no?"
It’s pretty simple.
If he never talks to the cops, they can never prosecute him.
time for water-boarding.
Gee....would he have something to hide?
when I first read that the van was ‘located’ I guess I thought it would be out west somewhere. but it’s in his parent’s driveway? And he drove it home?
Would the fact that the bfs parents are evidently sticking with the bf be a potential indication of innocence? Physically Separated pings will lead police quickly to the location of the separation location.
A possible story is that the gf and bf got into an argument on the road somewhere. The gf said you’ll be sorry and I will make you pay. Then she deliberately left him in a way designed to make him look guilty. He panicked and drove to his parents home. She unexpectedly met with foul play by some stranger or strangers after leaving him.
Either something like this happened or bf and his family are conspiring to be inordinately cruel to gfs parents.
Prayers they are able to find her alive. It’s not looking good.
My gut says Laundrie is a coward and he’ll be busted w/in a week max and unless he’s taken by force without warning, he’ll off himself.
They should hang, shoot, electrocute, flay, draw, and quarter this bastard. Then they should conduct a complete investigation into that girl’s disappearance to see if any crimes were committed.
Just my opinion but I think she is probably dead at the boyfriend’s hands. I’m the father of three daughters and each one of them have had their relationship ups and downs. My gut tells me if she had just left him after a fight, she would have reached out to her support network for assistance and would already have been home (or to a place of safety) before he had finished driving back to Florida. Her not checking in, the boyfriend driving back alone and without apparently mentioning the split up, lawyering up and not cooperating, etc. are actions just too suspicious not to take note of.
Again, just my opinion, but I think he has lawyered up to protect himself when there is sufficient physical evidence make him a person of interest and, later, a suspect. Having a lawyer would also put him in a position to negotiate a plea deal at an opportune time in exchange for her body location. That would be when the police/detectives/FBI/etc. are unable to find it through normal investigative means. It’s cold blooded as Hell to think this way but, unfortunately, it is the way the real world sometimes operates.
