Norm Macdonald, the deadpan comedian, actor, writer and “Saturday Night Live” star, has died after a battle with cancer, Variety has confirmed. He was 61.

Norm MacDonald was comedy genius, though his style wasn’t for everyone. It was easy to see how he had gone downhill in recent years, almost sounded like some dementia setting in the way his speech slowed.
For anyone who only remembers him from Saturday Night Live, please YouTube his standup and his appearances on Conan and Dennis Miller and other shows. His absolute most hilarious and best work was anything after Saturday Night Live.
