Oh goody!
The BinaxNOW test is done at home with results in 15 minutes. Walmart dropped their price for the kit (two tests) from $19.98 to $14.00.
Several of the major drug chains were selling it for $23.98 when first released. Don't know if they've dropped their price.
There are several other tests, some also at home and some that have to sent off.
A few weeks ago, I bought test kits for $23 a piece. Each kit had two tests. Results in 15-20 minutes. Got them at CVS. Don't know if that helps figure out the future price at Walmart, but I thought the price was reasonable without the discount.
These kits are so notoriously wrong they kit usually had two tests for ONE person to take.
But do you need to have and use an app on your cell to get the results?
The PCR test don’t work so I’m guessing these home test are far better.
Guess I’ll check the local wildlife and see how many test positive.
No, not with the BinaxNOW test.
How do you get the results? :-)

Will88, looks to me like it needs an app.
Uh, wut?
My son just had Covid. We went thru 8 tests in 1 well. That rather add$ up.
If one pink line appears on the test strip, you're negative. If two lines appear, you're positive.
The test is rated as 84% accurate for positive results and 97% accurate for negative results.
You don’t need an app to get the results of the test. I’ve used it several times. You can post results to an app if you choose.
So what? You get a positive result and they tell you to go home until you have trouble breathing, and then go to the emergency room. If they were serious, they would start early treatment immediately. It’s a tool of the elites to control you, nothing more.
If somebody wants me tested...they can pay for it.
Personally, I’m very happy never having been tested for the COVID.
Just paid $23 at CVS. Results negative. Full test day later - negative. Had head/chest cold, no fever, for 10 days......
Had Covid-19 in January, was sure tests would be negative.
The mandate isn’t active yet for government employees. My sin right now needs to show negative test before going into work.
At $14 a test, he can afford that for their ridiculous requirements. He’s mostly remote anyway
Who cares if they’re wrong? People will be using these to satisfy the stupid mandates and not to see if they have a flu they didn’t know about.
It’s like an instant pregnancy test - two lines on the card, YES, one, NO. The app is for “self-reporting” to some government system.
Can the test tell if you really inserted it up your nose all the way to your brain?
Can it tell if you inserted it into your dog’s nose?
You are a GREAT American!
