I have been trying to use the "My patience is wearing thin." line with my wife. Hasn't turned out well...
Biden's statement ^ | 12 September 2021 | Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin

Posted on 09/12/2021 7:45:53 AM PDT by MeneMeneTekelUpharsin

Biden really told us directly that he intends to make us get vaccinated, no ifs, ands or buts. He even said, "My patience is wearing thin." and I think he meant it. So, I thought that statement would serve well in talking to my wife about something I asked her to do.

As I dictate this text with a friend typing it up, many things come to mind. I feel remorseful that Covid has caused so many problems in our society and has divided us sharply across vaccination lines. Sadness overcomes me frequently now. After saying that to my wife, I did not see her for three days.

With both of my arms now in casts and the ringing in my ears finally beginning to subside, I feel blessed that I am still able to eat something with most of my front teeth missing. In fact, sitting in my home in the burned out shell of the den which still has a partial roof over it, I have noticed that the swelling in my left eye has gone down here on this third day just enough where I can see the RV in the yard in which my wife is living now. The police said I had it coming so I don't think I have any legal defense against the damage she caused by breaking all of the ribs on my left side.

I am not sure what made her so angry. Initially, I didn't think what Biden had to say would cause so much rage. Now, I am not certain as to what will be the effect. Does anyone have any input or advice?

Try telling her “God sent you into my life to teach me patience.”

We should have the same reaction to the president telling us what we’re going to do.

Your wife is very kind. Me, if I were lucky, I would be living in the RV. More likely I would be sleeping in the park down the road where my personal effect had been dumped and burned.

Might I suggest a restraining order? That'll protect you, right?

When I was young I thought there was no such thing as fighting words.

Now I realize there are.

“My patience is getting thin” is one of them....

All cuss words are fightin’ words.

I realized that’s the true reason they are supposed to be verboten. Working at college and trying to sit in the cafeteria surrounded by these cussing “collegiates” gave time that revelation. Hearing all that cussing makes me angry for a reason.

Try creepily sniffing her hair when you say it...I hear that works. Nyuk, nyuk.

Cussing does not bother me.

What gets me into a rage is when someone says:

“What you should do is _x_....”

No f&^%ing way _anybody_ is gonna tell me what I _should_ do....

Here’s Joe in December 2020 when he still had patience:

President-elect Joe Biden on Friday said that he won’t impose national mandates to get vaccinated for COVID-19 or to wear a mask.

But Biden said that he will encourage people to voluntarily do both.

“No, I don’t think it should be mandatory. I wouldn’t demand it be mandatory,” Biden said of vaccines at a press conference in Delaware.

Let’s compare the December 2020 cases and death levels with today’s and let’s have Joe explain why NOW we need mandates and in December of 2020 we didn’t.

US Covid deaths, Jan 21, 2021 (no mandates needed according to Joe): 17,004

US Covid deaths Sept 11, 2021 (mandates NEEDED!): 7,756.

After you’re healed up, get yourself a good pair of running shoes before you even THINK of using that line again!

He didn’t say My patience or I have been patient. He said we have been patient and our patience …. Signifying more than one tyrant is involved. 0 ?

Not only did she commit homicide, but she violated a protective order. One is a crime. The other pisses off a judge.

He’s using royal speak, as in emperor or king.

The wife needs a refresher on her proper duties.

Have dinner ready.
Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.

Prepare yourself.
Take fifteen minutes to rest so that you are refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your makeup, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people. Be a little gay and a little more interesting. His boring day may need a lift.

Clear away the clutter.
Make one last trip through the main part of the house. Gather up the books, toys, and newspapers. Dust the tables so that they appear clean. Your husband will feel that he has reached his haven of rest and order. Doing this for him will give you a lift also.

Today’s WomanPrepare the children.
Take a few minutes to wash their faces and hands. Comb their hair and change their clothes if it is necessary to make them look presentable to him. They are “God’s Creatures” and your husband would like to see them playing their part.

Minimize all noise.
At the time of his arrival, eliminate all the noises of the washer, dryer, dishwasher, and vacuum. You’ve had plenty of time to do these things during the day. Don’t do them now. Encourage your children to be quiet. Be happy to see your husband. Greet him with a warm smile.

Do not greet your husband with problems or complaints.
Don’t complain when he is late for dinner. Count this as minor when compared to what he had to go through today.

Make him comfortable.
Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or suggest that he lie down for a few minutes in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soft, soothing and pleasant voice. Allow him to relax and unwind.

Listen to him.
You may have a dozen things to tell him but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him speak first.

Make the evening his.
He is special! Never complain that he does not take you out to dinner or to other pleasant entertainment. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure, his need to unwind and relax. Remember that you relaxed all day waiting for his return. Now it’s his turn to enjoy what you enjoyed.
