At least 12 people were shot in East St. Louis Thursday night, with the suspected gunman's car carrying crashing into a passing train as they tried to flee The mass shooting occurred on the 500 block of Martin Luther King Drive, with six people taken to St. Louis University Hospital as of Thursday evening
The three suspects then tried to flee the scene in their vehicle, but were struck by a passing train as they attempted to cross the train tracks
Meanwhile, police say they are currently searching for the three suspects in a wooded area near 5th and Missouri, KMOV reports
No arrests have been made as of yet. The condition of the victims remains unclear

Note the headline says “St. Louis”, which is in Missouri, while the article itself says “East St. Louis”, which is across the river in Illinois.
East St. Louis has been a hell-hole for over a half-century.
