Living in a time of unreason
American Thinker ^ | 9 Sep, 2021 | Steve Karp, MD

Large numbers of American people lack the mental tools to see what is being done to them—and that must change.

Reflection at times is worth the price of discomfort. We are living through a world war. On one level, it is waged on a virus. On another level, it is waged by the Few against the Many. The Few were self-appointed; the Many conscripted.

The Few view the Many in Rousseau-like fashion: “Man is born with a brain and everywhere he seems brainless.” The Many feed that notion because they lack inquisitiveness and critical thinking and have blind faith in the Few.

War against a virus allows the Few to use intermediaries to coax or force the Many toward the Few’s goals. The intermediaries are unelected bureaucrats, scientists, physicians, and business owners, using whatever tactics are needed to achieve the goals of the Few. The goals are always money, power, and control, in some desired proportion.

A notable tactic used in this war is the mask mandate because the mask acts as a symbolic muzzle. It seems to have worked. The Many forgot or never knew about their rights or the concept of limited government built into their Constitution. They bought into the inviolable nature of the Union but the disposable nature of their rights.

The Many never realized that magic is the art of deception. Unlike people, a virus is not deceived by a mask. Unlike viruses, only people are deceived by magic. A covering cloth that one normally finds on stage, which the magician uses to misdirect the audience’s focus, is now covering the audience itself. Masking was used not to hide us from the virus but to hide our humanity.

The few are the communist elitists. We need to call them by their name.

Unreason

Perhaps some version of the strong delusion has begun?

A discerning person can observe the season. The falling away from God, the delusion, people behaving as in the times of Noah, the open celebration of evil, the denunciation of all that is good...

The collapse of civilization is scary, but just think if we might might be the generation to witness His Return in all His Glory?

And if this isn't the Time, one can pray that the horrors that are unfolding might result in a revival in faith.

As I have posted before, we are living in a Salvador Dali painting.

I would like to disagree slightly with the author; people are busy doing what they do every day- working, raising kids, living their lives. Whatever else they are doing doesn’t seem include paying attention to the “ why” of why their lives are becoming more difficult. Their spare time is devoted to more
“ pleasurable” pursuits..
I don’t call them stupid, I call them lazy. In the actions of their everyday lives they are not lazy, but as far as trying to understand what’s going on in the world, they aren’t really interested.
I think it goes back to our school days where subjects like government, economics and history were thought of as boring ( I was just as guilty as a lot of other people). That, I believe, has carried over into adulthood. I am a Boomer, so that’s how I see it. I think there’s hope, people seem to be waking up to what’s been going on, thanks to the “pandemic” for that.

What “Unreason”? The Elites have their reasons that justify their New World Order. In fact, they could be called more rational because they want a rationalized, routinized, programmed, managed, and lockstep totalitarian world.

Do not call evil “unreason” - it is confusing the ignorant.

The prefix “un” means “not” and while this is not reason, it’s actually far more sinister. We’re looking at dis-reason as in opposite of reason or deprived of reason, or pseudo-reason for fraudulent reason.

Amen to those first parts

I see no revival coming - frankly I only see a massive falling away in Scripture

I’ve personally experienced the bizarre behavior - by some close around me

I saw Kirk Cameron tell a crowd that they were going to take back America

They all clapped

I’m we extraordinarily skeptical

Yep

And they’re getting it, too

Even some friends who should know better just pretty much shrug at people being locked out of buying because -—— lockdowns

I should add that while I don’t believe the Church will be here during the Tribulation, I believe there will be a massive number of tribulation saints who will refuse the Mark of the Beast and pay with their lives.

But they’ll live forever.

“Man is born with a brain and everywhere he seems brainless.”

Mankind is smart enough to build the Empire state building and yet stupid enough to jump off it.
Lack of critical thinking does have a sound to it SPLAT.

40% of the people never change a DNA flaw.
