Bingo! You are entirely correct. After those first five weeks of “flattening the curve” and “slowing the spread”, we should have protected the vulnerable who could not protect themselves and fully informed the public about the risk factors. Full information should have included telling people how many amplification cycles were needed in their PCR test to get a positive reading and which comorbidities were the most problematic and then letting adults make their own risk decisions as they do for everything else.

I believe the entire thing would’ve been over by the summer of 2020 when the number of Covid-19 hospitalizations and deaths went way down. During the Obama administration there was a pandemic. When summer came Obama ordered that testing be stopped. There continued to be flu and pneumonia hospitalizations and deaths during that pandemic, unlike in 2020

I had it in December and again about three weeks ago. I tested positive in December, along with my 4-year-old son. I didn't test a few weeks ago but know it was covid due the fact that my brother, our stepbrother, and our stepmother were also very sick and all tested positive (we're together all the time). I then unknowingly gave it to my niece and her husband (we were hanging out the day before I came down with it), who both tested positive and are still really sick to this day (a week and a half in).

My bout a few weeks ago was worse than the first time, a lot worse, but again, only lasted a few days, and they had it a lot longer than I did and were much sicker. My stepmother is just getting over it. This was their first bout.

I personally know several people who have been fully vaccinated and then subsequently contracted COVID, but I don’t now anyone who has contracted COVID twice.
