Drives me absolutely batty! And I have a full beard. Anywhere I’m required to wear a mask I either avoid, or I wear a shemagh.
I was challenged by my doctor’s office last year and required to wear one of those masks and laughed at them. I put it on and asked, “So who is this supposed to protect?”

The masks are to keep people from coughing OUT germs, not breathing them in. Some people have never gotten past this concept. Then it’s an added bonus if both people are masked
For years before covid in Dr’s waiting rooms ER’s etc. if someone coughed they had them put on a mask so they wouldn’t cough it out as much
A more accurate test would be if he took his spray can and sprayed the mask from the inside and see how much comes out

One of my clients is a hospital. Since this all started, not a SINGLE employee has ever worn an N95.
Surgical masks only, loose fitting just like nearly ALL of the masks I see the stupid wearing every single day.
For all intents & purposes, his was a REAL WORLD demonstration of key facts about facial coverings and NOT A THING in your comment validates the efficacy of a piece of cloth or, for that matter, a worthless N95 against an airborne virus.

To test fit spray painting masks, which is not what the house painter was wearing, you hold your hand over the outlet and breathe out slightly. You should feel the pressure build up inside the mask if it fits well.
