Shot back at officers in self defense?
That’s a new one.
So all the cops shot in cold blood by these thugs were just acts of “preemptive self-defense”?
The police were in an unmarked white van when they opened fire on a crowd with rubber bullets. They hit Stallings who thought they were real bullets so he grabbed his pistol, which he had a permit for, and fired back. Once it became clear they were police he dropped his gun and lay face down on the pavement. The police then proceeded to beat him as he lay on the ground. The police own body cams were evidence against them.
I can imagine self defense against outlaw cops to be upheld in court. If some idiot with a badge opens fire on you or yours for no good reason are you just going to die at the altar of the thin blue tyranny or are you going to fight back like an American?
Kind of depends on the circumstances. Currently 99% of the time I’d say that defense was beyond insane. However, when they come to arrest you and put you in indefinite detention because they found a video of you wearing a MAGA hat 8 months ago I’d say there would be some leeway for considering it to be self defense.
Actually it is becoming a common need for even law abiding citizens...
They had 40mm launchers for rubber bullets. It was dark.
The defendant had a Minnesota carry permit.
The police, unannounced, fired at him from the inside of the moving van when they first saw him, from 70 feet away, hitting him in the lower chest with a rubber bullet.
He returned fire with 3-4 shots all off the pavement. No officer was hit.
They jumped out of the van yelling "Shots fired! Shots fired". He realized they were police, lay down his weapon, and lay down on the pavement, face down hands above his head.
The police approached, then beat on him for about 30 seconds.
The police lied about the incident in their reports.
But the defense was able to obtain all the body camera footage, showing they lied.
The jury did the right thing by acquitting Stalling.
WHAT White Privilege?????!!!!!
