Controversial research to make diseases more potent was backed by Dr Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to the White House, reveals a new book on the cover-ups and conspiracies of the pandemic
It’s late March 2018 and the US career diplomat Rick Switzer has just flown home to Beijing after a trip to Wuhan. Along with his colleague Jamie Fouss, the US consul-general in Wuhan, he’d led a delegation of American environmental, science, technology and health consular staff to inspect the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where he’d met Shi Zhengli, the “batwoman”.
It was two years before a pandemic would arise from that very city — perhaps even that very laboratory — and he was deeply concerned about what he saw during his visit. The consular official at the US embassy in Beijing tapped out a “sensitive but unclassified” cable to send back to the State Department. He needed to let Washington know just what was going on inside China’s new level-4 biocontainment facility dealing with the world’s deadliest and most contagious pathogens. The cable warned of poor safety practices at the laboratory.
Switzer pressed send on the cable two weeks later, on April 19, 2018, with the subject line: “China Virus Institute Welcomes More US Co-operation on Global Health Security”. It was an unusual choice of email subject, because the contents of his cable outlined how the opposite was true. The laboratory, built on the condition of international collaboration, was severely limiting the number of international researchers who could work inside its walls.

WOOO...
Can someone fix the typo please.. More coffee needed :-)
“What was even more terrifying was that not only was the NIH funding gain-of-function research in the US — but it was funding research in China, where it had no oversight and no way of knowing how safe the laboratories were where these risky experiments were taking place.”
I hate asking the question...but what ‘else’ does NIH fund outside of it’s own territory? The whole budget needs to be opened and viewed in detail at this point.
From the book extract:
“the Department of Health and Human Services funded three, the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and the China–US Collaborative Program on Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases individually each funded one project in conjunction with the Wuhan Institute.”
“Senior administration officials told me Fauci did not raise the issue of kickstarting gain-of-function research with any senior figures in the White House.”

Wonder if this book is really a modified limited hangout...
All of this has been known since the beginning of this pandemic. The NIH funding is in the public domain. It's just that it is ignored by the media.
Ordered my copy months ago. Can’t wait to read it.
One needs to ping the AdminModerator.
Please fix title to “Bombshell”.
I think that the vaccines were, and are, a good idea - but I think the urgency, the panic even, among certain governments (our own included) to deploy them rapidly comes from a wish, a desperate wish even, to ring down the curtain on this Frankenstein virus before the whole story gets told of how it was created and by whom.
It is beyond a doubt in my mind that there are US actors involved here, that they did what they did on their own, and that the collaboration with the Wuhan Institute of Virology was born out of necessity when other US actors moved to shut down this research here at home.
Many people involved in the US government either do not know the whole story, know only parts of it, or suspect it but do not want to know because it has negative career (and maybe negative survival) implications.
Fauci is on the take. Follow the money.
And his wife !
Audit NIH
Bannon has had Markson on War Room a number of times, and has been hyping her book consistently...now the book is here. Like Mark Dice says, ‘Arrest Dr. Fauci!’
Thank you I had no idea.
Should be interesting... Will they ignore this book?
Pre-ordered. Several months ago.
I am waiting on my copy...

I have no doubt these bastards will try to cover one crime by committing another crime; by cutting corners on the vaccine approval process; all in an attempt to cover the first crime.
The hurried attempt to deploy booster shots is now potentially the 3rd crime to cover the 2nd. Interestingly, there now appears to be some very underreported push-back by the FDA with the resignation of two high officials. Their claim seems to be that undue pressure is being applied to approve the booster shots.
Will anyone be brought to justice for these crimes against humanity. I’ll be surprised if they do. The larger the crime, the more people involved from the government, the more likely there will never be any accounting.
Meanwhile, you have the goofball tattooed, viking helmeted Jan 6th protester facing 3 years in prison for what exactly? Trespassing while chatting up the Capital Police? There is a severe lack of balance in the sentences for these crimes vs the crimes of facilitating known dangerous research, which skirted prohibitions against such research, resulting in the deaths of *millions*.
Friends of mine who have worked with these two are astonished.
They aren't just "two guys". They are highly esteemed senior scientists, who could at any time in the lest twenty years walked into 10X money with industry. They are not political people at all (although I imagine they lean left like 95% of people who have gotten government jobs since 1988).
Not a lot of COVID stuff has shocked me - but these FDA resignations really, really do.
Not unreasonable.
Many of the things that are difficult to understand about the US COVID response could be taken as consciousness of guilt.
