Does anyone know which Five Republicans voted with Democrats to pass the amendment in the Defense budget requiring women 18 years to 25 years to register for Selective Service?
I’m all for gender equality and everything that goes with it.
The last three are pretty good senators.
GOOD!!! They have been wanting to be EQUAL for DECADES! Maybe they will take things more SERIOUSLY!
There is NO DRAFT, but since they MALES have to register, so should the females must register!! FAIRNESS!
There will be crap load of babies born 9 months after that draft started.
As a veteran I totally agree.
I always felt it was, well, somehow WRONG to have men working in the mess hall.
Wrong to have males acting in the role of “nurses.”
And administrators? Nobody, and I mean NOBODY administrates, bureaucrats, like women, and today’s army NEEDS women for that.
In non-combatant rolls, yes.
In harm’s way? FRAK, no. We fight for the future, our future is our progeny. We fight for womanhood.
Don’t even get me started on the “trans” or “gay” BS.

However to me, voting present on anything is saying that you’re pro the bill, but don’t want to be on record as being pro the bill.

When the men of a nation push their women to the front line as combatants, then that nation will probably be erased from among the nations fairly soon. That signifies the rot of the character of the men. These men cannot control their “inner bitch”.

I’m all for the hens being drafted. They want “equality”… well, here it is.
There will be no ground war with China, at least not in America. China does not have a deep water navy. I think their range is Taiwan and not much more than that. It’s totally a domestic level navy.

Many here are analyzing this on the merits of actually drafting women into the military.
That is NOT the Dem’s purpose. If this passes, conscription will be politically impossible in the US, regardless of the situation. The Vietnam War protest movement collapsed the moment Nixon ended the draft. Any hint of conscripting women in the future, and protests/civil disobedience will be off the charts. The Dems purpose is to end the US ability to raise a large army. Try to name at least one emerging global power that might like that.
Israel has been drafting women for 2-year service stints for decades. I’m all for having that here as well.

Not here they didn’t. It’s all about number “in Theater” or in battle the point of attack.
“I do not want to see woman in combat.”
They don’t necessarily have to be in combat specialties, but there are many roles they can fill.
