Okay, we were just talking about this after dinner tonight. I thought it was just because I have cut the cable and do not watch any news anymore, but it seemed to me that there was no information on Hurricane Ida, and yet I was hearing from coworkers who live in the area that it was on par with Katrina in that the winds were worse than Katrina, but the flooding/storm surge not as bad.
Why on earth would they black out the media on Ida? I don't get it?

Very strange indeed. All we saw was the Biden guy at a supposed Fema office making some speech and people clapping and him avoiding an Afghanistan question and then walking off (with his butt presumably not yet wiped)
Any hurricane under a Republican administration gets 24/7 non stop coverage of how disastrous and mishandled it (supposedly) was. The fact the DHS said they are getting pressured to quell stories on it is very odd indeed.
