I fear it will fall into the same problem that ‘John Carter of Mars’ did - it’s hard to have a fictional world become even slightly believable when we already know all it’s geography.
It’s just too much for most audiences to overcome.
I think a far better high-budget HPL movie would be ‘The Case of Charles Dexter Ward’. Some low-budget efforts have tried, but the story demands Essential saltes...

***I have yet to see a film adaptation of Lovecraft’s stories that wasn’t terrible***
Same here. One of my favorite tales was THE DUNWITCH HORROR which I first read back in 1961. Yet the 1970 movie was terrible, boring and a waste of two good hours of my life.
Still got his books and still get a thrill reading them over and over!
By the way, What was the Cat’s name in THE RATS IN THE WALLS?

First time I’ve seen Doc Savage mentioned in decades! Man of Bronze rules!

what, you weren’t enthralled by the Dunwich Horror, with good old Sandra ‘Tammy’ Dee...?

I have not red that one yet, but I know what his cat’s name was ;)

One of my favorite novels. Is this movie out yet?

Doc Savage, he was the man. Was there anything that he couldn’t do better than anyone in the world? He even drove better than anyone.

I remember that one. It was downright awful.

That is an incredibly well done fan trailer for the Mountains of Madness.

Seems that way.
At the end it says ‘COMING IN OCTOBER’.................

Still, maybe they could get Danny Devito to reprise his role...

Doc was super because he trained for hours a day and lived clean. No “superpowers” like today’s “heroes.”
I read a new movie was in planning, hopefully not as campy as the 70’s version.
