so what is the treatment/dosage you prescribe? Could I go to a veterinarian and tell him it is for my horse and use it myself?
The plunger on the tube is marked in pounds. Although you can take it prophylactically, Dr. Lee Merritt suggests saving it for when you are sick because she anticipates a shortage. Today I saw (online) a sign or a store shelve saying you have to prove you have a horse (photo of you and your horse) to buy it. Because it works, they will make it harder to obtain.
Dr. Merrit recommends the pound for pound equivalent for prophylactic use once per week if you do decide to use it that way. The plunger on the tube is marked off in 50 lb increments - so dispense whatever amount needed for your body weight (prophylactic use). The tubes are not all the same size.
If you become ill, you can double the dose.
FWIW, passing along Internet posts re dosage of Ivermectin that a FReeQ passed to me. If nothing else, it may help you find the number of mg's of ivermectin in the tube (there's more than one size of tube, but the instructions should help either way).

Initially, the protocol I first read at the start of this was a dose on day 1 and day 3 (48 hours) and repeat as necessary. But there are other protocols since then that use different dosages spread over more days - you want to catch it and stop it fast.
So I'll include a link for protocols which Dr. Merrit mentions. I just checked I-MASK and it shows a smaller daily dose of Ivermectin for 5 days. Please check through the protocols and see which one you'd like to try. Note the protocols include suites of other elements like vitamins, Doxycycline or inhalers. Many on FR have posted they recovered well with 2 doses or so. But others are more severely ill and may need additional supports for longer periods of time.
You may want to go through those and see which ones you'd like to set aside. Best to be well prepared in advance so you can respond with treatment the moment you feel ill. The earlier, the better outcome.
Here are the protocols.

Best to do the math for you and all members of your body weigh and check it several times and store it with supplies so you don't have to work it out under duress.
Also, America's Frontline Doctors have a telephone appointment system. Many have had good experiences but the system is being so heavily used that it can take 2 -5 days to get an appointment, and when trying to get the meds, the pharmacies are reporting shortages - someone just spent $90 and couldn't get meds because the pharmacy was out. But there are other online pharmacies as long as you get that prescription from AMerica's Frontline Doctors. Because they are treating so many, you want to plan ahead and be patient.
Fred Nerks has recommended, and has had good experience with an online pharmacy in India (India is the largest manufacturer of IVermectin) and it doesn't require a prescription to buy it. The sell Ivermectin alone or in protocol kits.

Again, buy ahead as the Biden regime is working to remove helpful supplements from stores.
NAC - very helpful. Biden is making it prescription only. It's been in use over the counter for over 50 years and helps people with lung inflammation. You can still buy it for a little while longer. Some people still find it in stores - Amazon removed it about 2 months ago. I know Swanson still sells it online.
Many people respond well to ivermectin alone. ENtire countries are experiencing significant success with just Ivermectin. But those seriously ill will likely need more, so those wishing to be on the safe side will likely want to line up as much of their chosen protocol as they can 'just in case'. Ivermectin alone is far better than nothing, and far better than going to the hospital, being denied all medications, being put on a ventilator, being denied access to family, and being detained if you try to leave (medical kidnap).
You may want to prepare to navigate the hospital situation because you can end up in Covid isolation for a car accident or other illness. They automatically test you for Covid when admitted, the test has a 97% false positive rate and can't distinguish Covid from other illnesses like cold, pneumonia or flu. However, if tested positive you can fall into 'Covid isolation'. The hospitals get something like 17,000 dollars for a Covid diagnoses and more than that every day they keep you in ICU.
To be well prepared, I recommend the following thread and if you don't have time, just post #1.
I'll add two more worth reading:
No need to go to a veterinarian, your local animal feed store has it available with no prescription.
It comes in a syringe-like tube, with the plunger calibrated in 50 lb increments.
The dose per pound in a person is the same as the dose per pound in a horse...
