Johnny Mathis and Nat King Cole were on TV when it started. Ritchie Valens was just 17 when he had a number one hit and a number two hit. His parents were both born in Mexico. And by the way there are hundreds more, maybe thousands. If Olivia thought white girls where the only stars she did not get out much. Nor did she ever turn on the radio.
