Rand Paul Claims 'Hatred for Trump' Hindering Research Into Ivermectin as COVID Treatment

Senator Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican, argued that "hatred for Trump" is hindering research into Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19.

Some conservatives and supporters of former President Donald Trump have promoted Ivermectin, a drug primarily used to deworm livestock such as horses and cows, as a viable treatment for COVID-19. Scientific research has not shown the drug to be effective in treating the novel coronavirus, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned Americans not to use the drug for COVID-19 infections.

But Paul told constituents in Kentucky on Friday that opposition to Ivermectin was related to pushback towards the former president.

Luckily the third world is doing research on prophylaxis uses and treatments using cheap, safe, and common drugs. It looks good too. BUT orangeman bad.

“A drug primarily used to deworm livestock such as horses and cows”

Someone tell these lazy MEdia bots dutifully copying propaganda script that ivermectin has been used for at least 40 years to treat billions of people for the parasites that cause river blindness, malaria (quinine resistant) scabies rosacea and even bedbugs and head lice. It has been described as a miracle (human) drug, is on the WHO register among the world’s safest drugs, and the Dr who discovered it gave it to the world for free…no personal patent.

Maybe one of these fact checker outfits could get off their duffs and fact check check the media on this one. It’s galling that such an easily researchable claim just sits out there.

The you haven’t been paying attention. The medical establishment fought pre-scrub tooth and nail. They still insist chiropractic is quackery (ok, some of it is.) They still insist low-fat is the ideal diet. etc

That’s interesting about the Doctor who discovered ivermectin.

It almost sounds as though he was divinely inspired.

We see there slanted reporting. There is no better example of media bias than this sentence included at the start of this story.

"...a drug primarily used to deworm livestock such as horses and cows, as a viable treatment for COVID-19."

If you look up the drug, this is what you find.

"Ivermectin tablets are approved by the FDA to treat people with intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis, two conditions caused by parasitic worms."

That does not mean it works on Covid. But MSN reporting it is primarily for horses and cows is purposeful distortion.

You can’t even get Ivermectin any more.
I have a prescription from Push Health. Sent to my pharmacy, went to pick it up and was told ... sorry we are out of it and won’t be getting any for months at best.

I think this is the new line pharmacies are using so as not to piss off customers.

The fix is in, you can not get the stuff period.

If you use it with the zinc in an IV, and start early, you’ll be good to go.

The “saying” to which I alluded is being said by the people who are bucking the establishment by advocating the use of Ivermectin against COVID-19 both for treatment when one comes down with the illness, as well as prophylactically. The point is, they are hearing that the human pill form of Ivermectin may have been tampered with on an institutional scale to eliminate the active ingredient and render it a placebo (i.e., no “zotch”). That is why I used the word “strangely”. Nobody would ever have guessed prior to the present time that the entire pharmaco-medical industry would be so willing to completely debase itself when called upon to do so by the deep state/globalist tyrants. But we live in strange times so people are stretching their minds to try to accommodate big thoughts matching the unprecedented scale of the corruption and psychopathy taking place before their very eyes.

See #73 please. If I track down the specific podcast in which Nurse Claire first drops the truth bomb in question, I will give you the link. So much that is utterly destructive of both society and of individual rights is happening so fast, it is hard to keep up

Podcast #153

Minute mark 24:20 is where the notion of institutional tampering with human Ivermectin pills to eliminate that drug’s effectiveness in that form is broached. Anne Barnhardt herself is the one who brings it up, not Nurse Claire, BTW.

Thank you so much for the link and the time you spent relocating it!

I listened to the part you suggested (and considerably more), and some thoughts/questions occur to me...

Nurse Clair stated that evidence of this issue is “anecdotal” at this point, so it certainly bears watching to see if any hard evidence surfaces. If drug companies are distributing drug products that don’t match the label, that is a serious (possibly criminal) problem.

The point was made that some pharmacies are anti-Ivermectin. I have heard of some refusing to fill legitimate prescriptions. I wonder if they may be substituting a placebo or an otherwise innocuous pill for the real thing, which could explain why the pills don’t seem to work? Again, if deliberate, that would be a serious violation.

If true, a class action lawsuit might be in order.

If, in fact, the pill form of Ivermectin is deliberately being emasculated in this country, is it possible that pills acquired outside of the US might still be the real thing?

I’m thinking specifically of pills from one particular country that has had great success with widespread government-approved use of Ivermectin to combat Covid, and their companies making those pills might not be under the same pressure as their counterparts in the US and elsewhere.

“is it possible that pills acquired outside of the US might still be the real thing?”

It’s possible, certainly. Terrible that we (collectively) need to be considering foreign sources as a means to sidestep domestic corruption, but what could be a more natural reaction.

BTW I figured you would listen to more than what I pointed out. I was happy to have found and pointed out to you the specific snippet that answered your question precisely.
