Because the empty husk that is President Joe Biden wanted to make a speech on Sept. 11—the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in America—and crown himself with glory as the hero who got us out of Afghanistan, this is what he did:
He delayed and then rushed his disastrous and ill-conceived withdrawal from that medieval nation of tribes.
And now, at least 13 members of the U.S. Armed Forces–including at least 12 Marines and a Navy corpsman–have been killed in a terrorist bomb attack at the airport in Kabul. More than 70 Afghans were also killed at the airport and at a nearby hotel.
What did the president do? He tried to wash the blood from his hands while reading from his teleprompter. While presenting himself as the guy taking responsibility for the disaster, he blamed his predecessor and engaged in sophistry, arguing he had no choice but to withdraw quickly. He had a choice. He’s the president.
Biden talked tough about revenge, and to the terrorists he said “We will hunt you down and make you pay.” But even as he talked tough, the weasel words came out of the sides of his mouth to cover his flanks, to give him an excuse on how it won’t be his fault if he leaves Americans behind.
Except in the opinion polls, the president hasn’t paid a price. The Marines and the Navy corpsman paid the price. They died in that terrorist bombing, after the bombers were let through the Kabul airport perimeter by the Taliban, who Biden had given the job of providing security.
That’s where America is now under Biden, relying on the murderous Taliban to protect our people. And as of this writing, none of his White House team and the military brass have resigned.
Afghans paid the Biden price too, all those desperate souls trying to leave, pressed together at the airport as perfect soft targets. Their bodies were blown into the open sewer at the Abbey Gate, mothers and fathers and children. They were face down in it, dead.
Yes, be angry. Be sick to your stomachs. If you don’t feel anything after that carnage, you’re not human.
But think first of the families of those dead Marines and the Navy corpsman. Think of their families seeing the car approach the house. Think of them watching the uniformed personnel walking somberly to the front door.
Yep the paper tiger has been defeated. Trillions in weapons and might and a bunch of raghead ragtag fighters defeated us.
Pretty sad situation that the ragheads had more passion to win then the USA lead by whoever is giving senile Joe his marching orders.
The Generals were resigning left and right under Trump. Yet under Biden NOTHING.
Who will hold them accountable? Our party? They will huff and puff and put on hearings. Dems control the House and pretty much the Senate. Pelosi et all will provide cover. In fact, she may make sure Trump is the one held accountable. The usual RINO’S will be down with that. Then the media of course will send with the Dems and Biden.
I heard Biden wanted the optics for 9.11 20th anniversary no matter what for us to be out. He wanted the glory.
Some low military person will be offered up in the end. But not any of the Generals and certainly not Gen Miller who advised closing Baghram.
I don’t think our culture has the means anymore to give these people what they deserve. They won’t even be fired and face a little humiliation.
I heard it was General Miller because without permission from surrounding countries to use their airspace, it would be worthless. I’m not aware of any of the countries denying us with the Trump deal.
Bill Mayer did an excellent on Afghanistan saying if America is such a bad country why are people running to get on the plane then he showed the famous plane runway scene. He torched the whole evacuation plan by Biden.

Yes the left is cheering at the prospect of 200K Visa’s given to the evacuees. Future voters, a future Muslim President in 20 years or less, the humiliation of our country, weakness optics 101 of the most powerful country, military in the world achieved

My fear is that this gets worse. Especially here in the USA. 9/11 coming and the border has been wide open for months. Easily they could fly into Mexico and walk across the border and not be vetted and get a free bus ticket to anywhere they want. Now over at least 100k (that’s what they are saying) Afghans have been flown directly here to join the others. This is setting up to be the worst attack ever. And it’s almost like they want it to happen. We knew and they knew that airport would be attacked. And I will be surprised if it don’t happen again. After we are gone, all the ones left behind are dead. He also left a list of people for them to find. This is not right. There will be video after video the media is going to have to hide and social media will have to delete. Or will they. It maybe a part of a bigger plan. But that sounds like conspiracy.
Shouldn’t Milley face court martial also?

When democrats rule it’s always a sample of hell.
Holding generals to account is not part of current US military culture, not Democrat political culture.
Pentagon brass who lose a war should be forced to wear a large black “X” over their ribbons and metals...
