The military brass may regret firing Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Scheller
American Thinker ^ | 29 Aug, 2021 | Andrea Widburg

They could control him if he were still with them; now, though, he’s on the warpath.

Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Scheller was fired for speaking the truth about the fact that the top brass in the Pentagon never pay for their bad decisions, even as the ordinary men and women get no quarter for their errors. As soon as he’s free, Scheller intends to change that two-tiered system.

In fact, we’ve been watching unfold for some time in America a two-tiered justice system. In the civilian world, one tier, the higher one, is for leftists and the other, the lower one, is for conservatives.

SNIP

One man, Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Scheller, a Marine with seventeen years in the service at his back, created a calm Facebook video explaining that it’s extremely bad for military discipline if the upper ranks don’t face consequences just as surely as the lower ranks would: (Video at link)

Within one day, Scheller was relieved of duty and, as he made clear, will be leaving the Marines: (tweet at link)

The military’s decision to jettison Scheller may have been a mistake because, now that he’s free of the military’s constraints, he’s on the warpath—against the aging, incompetent baby boomers currently in charge:

The maverick Marine fired after he released a now-viral video slamming the US military for botching the exit from Kabul, issued a clear threat to his aging superiors Saturday.

“The baby boomer’s turn is over,” Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller told The Post. “I demand accountability, at all levels. If we don’t get it, I’m bringing it.”

Generals are as political as people running for president...

That is why it takes a long time finding good generals..

Example General Patton....Was like Trumps ...spoke up to much..but finally they had to use him...the best Field general of his time

Would he have changed tactics in the Pacific??

The worst assignment today is to be a Marine at the White House.

Remember the Marine who held the umbrella for Obama? It could not have been more demeaning.

Just because he was relieved of command doesn’t mean he’s out of the Marine Corps. Unless he freely resigns, which he can if he doesn’t owe additional service (an example is pilots - when they finish flight school they incur an addition 6 years of service. At least that’s what happened when I finished flight school.) At his rank he probably doesn’t owe time. If you go to one of the academies or ROTC pays your way you usually owe 4 years active plus 4 years reserve as an officer.

If they want to kick him out they need a reason. If he disagrees with the reason then he can request trial by court martial. He would then get a ton more publicity, because at this point what does he have to lose? The best outcome for the embarrassed brass at this point would be for him to quietly finish up his last few years and retire with a pension.

“Stuart Scheller for Congress!”

An as one person in Congress I am not sure if he could do anything. Maybe appointed as Secretary of Defense once we get real President elected.

As Secretary of Defense, he could hold the military leadership accountable.

LTC Scheller through his career and retirement away because he is a man with integrity. Need more, not less, like him.

"I know he lost his command, but is he still active duty?"

Yes and Yes. I read he has 17 years in right now. We will see if the Corps dangles 3 years to retirement if he keeps quiet. I doubt he will accept that bribe. He needs to play this carefully and I'm sure he will. Easy for the Flag Officers that have their feelings hurt to drum up some BS charges for Courts-Marshal.

This Marine like many I knew while on Active Duty has the courage of his convictions.

Our goal should be to destroy all woke generals, retired or active duty.

Not just Generals, but all Flag officers are suspect. (Including Admirals)

“Would he have changed tactics in the Pacific??”

Possibly, but Spruance and his boss Nimitz did okay. To understand my comment I recommend reading “The Fleet at Flood Tide, America at total War in the Pacific 1944-1945”, by James D. Hornfischer.

Although I'm Army it's easy for me to imagine him being the supply officer at our Embassy in Bujumbura.

LOL, I know where you're coming from. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my 18 months as Battalion S-4 in Germany. I wanted a Battery command before I left, but the old man told me he needed me in that slot.

I was superbly trained for that job: a degree in Public Accounting, and six months filling in as Property Book Officer. Nobody, I mean nobody up the chain messed with us.

During our IG, as I was shaking the hand of the G-4, I said "welcome to the best S-4 section in 32nd AADCOM. Please take a seat, because I have a bone to pick with you." LOL, it was awesome.

During annual budget meetings, this 1LT was telling majors and lieutenant colonels what they could, and could not do. I got away with it, because I was right, and all of their bluster and rank pulling could not compete with that.

I was also the point man for the Army/Air Force Interservice Agreement at Spangdahlem AB, when it was being renewed in 1980.

Perhaps the best thing about that job was there was no competition: nobody wanted the job.

One man can do a lot, if he is both smart and tough.

Read up on Jesse Helms. The one man who changed NC politics.

There may be an additional service commitment, depending on when he was promoted to LTC.

I don't recall the 4 year reserve requirement when I was on active duty. I had the 4 year active requirement for my ROTC scholarship, but I did 8+ years active.

Never had second thoughts about staying in the Reserves, I figured I did my time.

Say what you will about MacArthur, but his “island hopping” strategy was absolutely brilliant.

Hear, hear...though I can name a few exceptions that I was honored to serve with: Jay Garner, Johnie Forte, Jr., Archie Cannon, and James Cercy, to name several. I also graduated in the same class at Gonzaga with Jason Kamiya, who would retire with two stars.

I can say unequivocally that they were great leaders, and had their soldiers' backs. They had mine, it was an honor to serve with them.

...Imagine opening the door for that vile creature and being forced to salute the disgusting pile of crap...

And being bitten regularly by his nasty dog.

I hope the Marine has a squeaky clean past from kindergarten up. You know the Dems, FBI, NCIS, and media are going to do everything to tarnish him. If he’s married, they’ll also be investigating his wife and children.

Maybe he will be the prominent leader of the pushback “revolt” that must happen before this country is totally lost and irretrievable. Someone needs to take leadership!
