Dr. Drew Pinsky, a board-certified internist, TV host, and podcaster, told "The Brian Kilmeade Show" Friday he expects California Gov. Gavin Newsom to be recalled after his "mishandling" of the coronavirus pandemic.
"You can't imagine what life is like in California…you don't get how bad it is, and that's why [Newsom’s] in trouble," Dr. Drew told Fox News's Brian Kilmeade. "You need only walk out of your house to see how things are deteriorating…It's so astonishing that the average person just can't abide by it any longer…I'll be surprised if he's not recalled."

"It doesn't matter on…what side of the partisan divide you are [on]. Everyone in California knows how horrible life is there and how disgusting things have gotten," Dr. Drew continued. "Disgust is a very powerful emotion. It makes people change."
Newsom has long been criticized for his handling of the pandemic, including strict coronavirus lockdowns, slammed for decimating businesses, and requiring students to wear masks in the classroom.
"There was so much incompetence on the part of the public health officials in Los Angeles and the government…the mayor…the governor," Dr. Drew added. "[Officials] closed our beaches and parks, the exact environment where they should have been encouraging the population to go, outdoors, breathe fresh air, exercise."

Why is it so bad? Did someone make it bad?
DR Drew is not as cool and groovy as he thinks he is
I know how bad it is. We still know several people there and all are depressed and want out. One is in escrow. To think about how it once was is quite sad.
Pushed the people so hard, they held a recall election. LOL.
Still obedient to asinine rules tho'.
I lived there for 34 years, from ages 8 to 42. Schools were excellent, roads & freeways were top notch, and the beaches were gorgeous. Moved to AZ in 1996 and now the only thing I miss is the ocean.
I personally now know a half-dozen families who have moved from the Bay Area to Texas within the last 12 months. I have to say, though, Texas better watch out. Ex-Californians have already helped turn NV and AZ into blue states. TX is neXT.
Nuke Austin and Houston.
Back out the fraud and I don't think either of them are actually blue yet. But both are certainly becoming infested with California-mindset politicians.
The problem is that it’s not just Newsom. It’s the whole Dem establishment.
This jackal destroyed 100,000 businesses. He should be thrown out.
“. Ex-Californians have already helped turn NV and AZ into blue states.”
Colorado is infested with the parasites. When they drive into town their steering wheels automatically swerve to the nearest Starbucks and yoga studio.
I have a relative that lives in Palm Springs, and supports Newsom. He is unfortunately a severe TDS sufferer, and so reacts with hysterics when anything is mentioned pointing to the failure of Newsom, and the death spiral California has been thrown into. He is insulated by a gated fenced community, from the pathetic conditions California has sunk to, which is probably par for the course in Democrat California.
Me too . . . I was born and raised in California, back when it really was the Golden State. It was gently conservative, with a series of moderate GOP governors. But demographics is destiny, and many of those sensible, family oriented folks moved away. I’m in Arizona now too, in a quiet rural area. Taxes are low and regulations few. The demographics are a lot like what I remember growing up.
All Texas major cities are run by leftist.
Btw, exercising the freedoms AZ has, would get you thrown in a cage in CA.
“All Texas major cities are run by leftist.”
California used to be the same way 25, 30, 40 years ago... S.F., L.A., Oakland, San Jose were all Dem bastions (only San Diego was the exception due to the large Navy/Marine presence), but the GOP was viable statewide. Those days gradually faded away.
Most major cites are run by leftist, regardless of state or venue. It’s where most all the money and corruption are.
Not Fort Worth
Well there’ one. I guess my point is modern day major cities run by conservatives is a rarity.
